to the existing configurations for Liebherr wheeled excavators as well as material handling

machines. These new options and configurations are available in the Lias configuration

system and will also be partly included in the future versions of the equipment manual for

“wheeled excavators” and “material handling machines”.

status can be found in the Lias offer system.

Reinforced two-piece boom hydraulically adjustable 4.85 m in the

HD version for LH 18 M Industry

In Lias, you will find this new equipment as follows:

Starting from week 50/2020, the reinforced two-

piece boom hydraulically adjustable 4.85 m will

also be available in the HD version for the LH 18

M Industry, in combination with a 4-point

undercarriage. The HD two-piece boom

hydraulically adjustable is selected automatically

in Lias as soon as the machine is configured with

a 4-point outrigger. The standard variant of the

two-piece boom hydraulically adjustable cannot

be selected for a 4-point undercarriage.

The greater stability with a 4-point undercarriage

allows higher load capacities. To be able to

handle the resulting higher loads, the HD version

of the two-piece boom hydraulically adjustable is

an essential requirement.

Higher load capacities in combination with the 4-point outrigger for greater

productivity.

Safe and reliable material handling at the work site.

The undercarriage with blade and 2-point-outriggers can still be combined with the standard

variant of the 4.85 m two-piece boom hydraulically adjustable and the mono boom; the HD

version of the two-piece boom hydraulically adjustable is also available with this undercarriage

version.

intake, extractable is also installed as standard for LH 18 M Industry. For dust-intensive

applications, the "reversible fan drive" and "air pre-filter with dust trap" options are also

This is recommended for applications in very busy and hazardous areas and for work with a

New undercarriage variant for LH 26 M Industry

As of now, a new undercarriage variant is available for the LH 26 M Industry G6.0-D. You

can now also select the "Timber undercarriage" variant in LIAS. The machine with the

"Timber" undercarriage is specially designed for smaller sawmills and timber processing

firms. This machine will therefore be in direct competition with the

Sennebogen 723 and the Fuchs MHL 334 (MHL 434).

- Small front and tail swing radius for safe manoeuvring even in tight spaces

- Powerful traction drive for productive travel on slopes or for trailer

applications, while keeping fuel consumption extremely low

- Greater safety thanks to the robustness, stability and manoeuvrability of the

3.0 m wide undercarriage with all-wheel steering

New undercarriage variant for LH 40 M Port

As of now, a second undercarriage variant is available for the LH 40 M Port G6.0-D. You

can now also select the single tyres option for the twin tyres variant. The single tyres variant

gives greater ground clearance and more ride comfort.

- Better compensation for unevenness in the ground

- Greater ride comfort with better damping in the tyres

- Lower risk of damage to the tyres because loose objects, such as pieces of

wood, cannot get stuck between the tyres

Liebherr generator set (previously GTS)

"Everything from a single source" – a central contact partner for all

issues and therefore short processing times and shorter downtimes

for the customers.

The newly labelled Liebherr generator set for magnet inserts brings the following

customer benefits:

The use of magnetic plates in material handling machines for scrap recycling allows efficient

sorting and/or loading of ferromagnetic materials such as metal swarf, shearing scrap, cast iron

scrap etc.

Starting from MPS 01.01.2021, all GTS generator sets are being replaced by Liebherr

generator sets. It will then be possible in Lias to choose between the Liebherr generator set

and the Mozelt generator set.

The following page shows you examples of where the generator set can be found. Details of

which generator sets are available for which machines can be found in the current

"Equipment manual for material handling machines (May 2020 edition)".

Retrofits must be discussed in advance with the factory.

You will find this option in Lias as follows:

For years, depending on machine type, Liebherr-

Hydraulikbagger GmbH has been supplying ex works the

hydraulically or mechanically (V-belt) driven generator sets

manufactured by the GTS firm for operating the magnetic

devices on material handling machines.

With immediate effect, these GTS generator sets will be

labelled with the name Liebherr in Lias. This means that for

machines, tool attachments and magnet devices, the

customer will have a single contact partner for sales and

service. Maintenance will also be handled by the Liebherr

sales partner, and this should strengthen customer loyalty.

all details about maintenance, repairs, and training offers.

"Double-sided load holding valve for tipping cylinder" while

operating a tiltrotator with pallet fork

Safety when operating a pallet fork and therefore high productivity at

the construction site thanks to high flexibility and manoeuvrability.

The new double-sided load holding valve for tipping cylinder offers the following

customer benefits:

On many construction sites, the use of a pallet fork ensures fast, safe and easy transport of

materials. Pallet forks are particularly suitable for lifting and transporting pallets and all kinds of

goods. The use of a pallet fork requires that the machine be fitted with a double-sided load

holding valve for tipping cylinder.

More and more of our customers are also attaching their

pallet forks with a tiltrotator. This combination makes it

absolutely necessary not just to have a load holding valve for

tipping cylinder, but to have a double-sides holding valve for

tipping cylinder.

The reason for this is that the tiltrotator allows endless

rotation of the pallet fork, even with the fork tines facing

towards the driver's cab. This results in greater flexibility at

the construction site but, for safety reasons, it also requires

additional protective measures on the excavator side. This

the double-side load holding valve for tipping cylinder.

The direct attachment of a pallet fork with the tines facing towards the

driver's cab is not approved for safety reasons.

Unlike the earthmoving wheeled excavators, the ZW excavators are painted as standard with

the special yellow colour specified by the Deutsche Bahn.

New paint on tool attachments for rail machines

Uniform colouring on attachments for rail and earthmoving machines allows

greater and more customisable availability of tool equipment.

This also ensures greater flexibility for hiring the widest variety of tool

attachments.

Batch orders require shorter delivery times, since the painting process is no

longer necessary

This also applies to the tool attachments for the ZW range, which till now have been painted in

the special DB yellow, although this was not absolutely necessary. From now on, the tool

attachments supplied for ZW excavators will be painted in grey just like the earthmoving

wheeled excavators, and no longer in the DB yellow applied till now. On the following page,

you can see a comparison of the various tool attachments in the new and previous paint colour

variants.

New Speeder versions

A number of Speeder versions are available as of now for the Liebherr Stage V wheeled

excavators listed below and, depending on the version, they allow speeds of up to 37 km/h

max. This option can now be recommended if the customer has to manage long stretches of

road (e.g. for the purpose of road construction) or frequently has to change the operating

location without a low-loader.

Driving time is shortened both at the construction site and between different

operating locations.

Reduced transport times = greater productivity.

When the Speeder is selected, depending on the machine type, the option

ride control is also recommended or obligatory necessary (see page 2).

The requirements (max. speed) that have to be met when using a Speeder

can differ depending on the country.

Automatic digging brake for timber material handling machines

As of now, the automatic digging brake developed by Liebherr can be offered optionally to your

customers also for timber handling machines. With this option, the working brake on the timber

machine opens and closes automatically and thus assists the driver during applications that

require frequent starting and braking, for example at the sorting strand or when feeding the

sawing line.

Availability:

Operating principle:

The automatic working brake keeps the machine braked as long as the accelerator pedal is

in the neutral state and the machine is stationary. It is no longer necessary to operate the

brake pedal manually.

If the accelerator pedal is pressed again, the machine moves off. The brake pedal no longer

has to be released separately before moving off.

Ride comfort and fatigue-free working:

The operator does not need to press the brake pedal manually into the locked

position when stationary or when working.

Productivity when working:

With the automatic braking function, operator response times are no longer

required in applications that require frequent braking. This speeds up the working

processes, by leaving the operator free to concentrate on the essential.

Safety when working:

Greater safety when braking, since the automatic working brake always engages

immediately whenever the accelerator pedal is released and the machine is

stationary. There is therefore no risk of the vehicle rolling away.

Stabilization assistant from LH 40 on

As of now, the "outrigger wizard" option developed by Liebherr can be offered to your

customers for material handling machine LH 40 and highe. This option consists of an extension

of the individual outrigger control and ensures comfortable and secure stabilization of the

machine.

Availability:


In Auto mode, the machine automatically levels itself as well as possible on the horizontal.

The digital spirit level indicates the machine alignment at all times.

The outriggers can also be controlled manually as before (all pads together or each pad

separately).

Operator’s comfort:

The operator simply activates the function and the machine is stabilized and

levelled fully automatically.


Time saved when extending outriggers, as the machine no longer has to be

aligned manually.


Greater work safety and machine stability, as the machine is aligned as well as

possible on the horizontal.

Fuel preheating (pre-assigned in Lias)

For trouble-free operation of modern diesel engines, the diesel fuel has to be a clear fluid. At

low temperatures, paraffin crystals start to form at a certain point, depending on any additives

present, and this causes the fuel to become cloudy. Paraffin crystal formation can then lead to

engine failure, or failure of the entire machine. Even with diesel fuels specially formulated for

the winter months, this occurs starting from temperatures of -10°. The operator is often

unable to understand the reason for the engine failure and calls customer service.

High reliability of the machine through all seasons.

Machine longevity because of diesel's optimal lubricating ability, which also

prevents damage to the injection system.

High level of machine availability at all temperatures.

Availability:

If the customer says that the above mentioned

temperature ranges are not relevant (e.g. the machine

is not used in winter), the fuel preheating option can

be deselected.

The fuel preheating option can prevent these problems from occurring. The fuel is preheated

automatically as soon as the temperature drops to the lower temperature range (from approx.

5°C). In sales markets where these temperatures can occur, the fuel preheating option is,

from now on, included by default in the Lias quoting system for Liebherr wheeled excavators

and material handling machines.

The new Liebherr tilt bucket SL080

The Liebherr tilt buckets are the all-rounder among the Liebherr buckets and are a good

compromise of backhoe bucket and ditch cleaning bucket. High flexibility, cutting width

between backhoe bucket and ditch cleaning bucket, protected installation of the tilting cylinder

(2x50°) as well as an optionally available cutting edge make this tilt bucket indispensable on

many construction sites.

The new Liebherr tilt bucket SL080, with a cutting width of 1,400 mm, is perfectly designed for

use in walkway construction and therefore complements the well proven Liebherr bucket

range.

Likufix protection

From now on, a protection for Likufix is optionally availabe. This optional protection prevents

the high-quality Likufix, in particular the cables, from being damaged due to inappropriate

use, for example, it provides protection from rock fall. During demolition work, Likufix

protection also acts as impact protection.

Holes to accommodate for the hoop guard are included as standard on the Likufix block.

The hoop guard can therefore be easily retrofitted (retrofit).
