Applying to Veterinary School: What You Need to Know – A member from our admissions team debunks common misinformation about being a competitive DVM applicant and tells you the steps for applying to our DVM program (intended for prospective students who are high school juniors or older). Classroom 100

Wide World of Vet Med – Watch a video entitled, “Veterinary Medicine: It’s More Than You Think.” A veterinarian will be present to answer questions after the video. Classroom 100

Recognizing Common Cat and Dog Emergencies & Intro to Pet CPR – This lecture and hands-on laboratory experience requires sign-up in order to participate. Please go to the SCVECCS booth located in VMIA to sign-up and receive more information.

Horseshoe painting – Horseshoes are supplied for you. Paint one while they last! Student Chapter of American Association of Equine Practitioners. MDL 4

Dystocia Box & Breeding Betsy – Learn about the birthing process of cows and other ruminants. The Food Animal Practitioners Club. MDL 2

Clinical Skills Laboratory – Come learn what skills veterinarians need to master from the Class of 2018. We have hands-on models and even our own version of an operation game! Skills Lab

Wildlife Exhibit – See live animals from the Southwest Va. Wildlife Center. Public Veterinary Practice Club. MDL 1

It's A Small World – Learn about the world of bacteria, fungi, and cells. Hands on demonstrations will include the use of microscopes to view exciting samples along with interactive models and an at home DNA extraction method. Biomedical & Veterinary Sciences Graduate Student Association. Commons

Pathology Specimens – View abnormal and normal cells in various animals, as well as tissue lesion samples. Pathology Club. MDL 2

Food Drive – Dry & canned food, treats, rawhide bones, hooves, and other supplies will be collected to support the efforts of MCFACC to help the dogs at Montgomery Co. AC&C. Commons/patio
