Anyone who has ever heard Harrison

Crenshaw sing knows the meaning of the words… ”God with us”. For listening to

Harrison’s voice is much more than just a

matter of appreciating vocal skill or

expertise. To the contrary, listening to this young artist’s voice is more like having an

experience one wishes to cherish for a

lifetime or finding a rare work of art that

one feels the need to protect and preserve for generations to come…a moment one

wishes to relive and appreciate again and

again.

The skill involved is clearly evident. One would be remised to find anyone to dispute the sheer

perfection of Harrison’s vocal technique. Mr. Crenshaw, who is a graduate in Vocal

Performance from Loyola Marymount University in Los Angeles, California, executes every

vocal performance with a near perfect pitch, timbre and vocal style befitting of the most

professional of liturgical, choral or contemporary vocal performance expectations. His ease of

delivery, rapport with audiences and fellow performers, and mastery of diverse vocal styles and

genres reveals an obvious level of experience that shines through each song like a bright

beacon of “wow”, mesmerizing congregations and audiences of all ages. But there is even more

to this eloquent voice than just tones pleasing to the physical senses. It is that “more” that

places him (and us) in a realm of “sacred” music experience that lingers in our hearts, minds

and souls for days, weeks, and even years to come.

It is that “God with us” moment that we all

recognize in Harrison when he sings. There is no

hesitation or wondering where this angelic voice

of hope and inspiration is coming from. It is

apparent. It is the Holy Spirit singing through

Harrison and reaching us, wherever we are. We

are fully aware that God is speaking to us,

making His love and concern for us evident, in

that moment, in that love note that Harrison

delivers so definitively. And we are comforted,

encouraged, convicted, subdued, glorified, and

quickened with Christ by this very personal way

that God reaches out to touch us. With glad

hearts we sing along, we listen, we cry, we clap,

and we celebrate the goodness of the Lord in

liturgy, in concert, or whatever media we get the chance to hear Harrison’s voice. And whenever

that happens, God is glorified!

I invite anyone in need of a soul-lift to seek out an

opportunity to experience Harrison Crenshaw in

person. Currently, he cantors masses at several

local churches including St. Monica Catholic Church

in Santa Monica, St. Martin of Tours in Brentwood,

and St. Joan of Arc in West L.A. He is also a regular

vocalist and cantor for the L.A. Archdiocese

Religious Education Congress held annually in

Anaheim, CA.

Mr. Crenshaw is available to serve as a guest cantor

for liturgies, prayer services and special events. Surely, your congregation won’t be disappointed.

Harrison has a wide repertoire of Catholic music. He

is a talented songwriter & has composed mass parts

and music for weddings, liturgical holidays and other

sacred occasions. He is also a skilled vocal arranger

and music director. True to his African American

roots, Harrison is always ready to deliver a soulful

rendition of classic and contemporary gospel

favorites upon request.

First, Harrison will work with your liturgical team and musicians to plan music for and cantor a regularly scheduled mass at your parish.

Then immediately following the mass, Harrison will present music selections from his new hit recording project,

Sacred Soul, plus a few other Catholic favorites for all to sing along and enjoy.

It’s the perfect way to ignite the heart and give parishioners a musical feast to feed the soul and revive the spirit.

The concert is appropriate for all ages.

*CONCERT BOOKING TERMS

•Concert to begin at the Sending Forth selection of the mass for ease of presentation •Concert duration: 45 minutes •There is no fee for the concert; however, parish agrees to book regular parish musicians to provide musical accompaniment for the concert. Music charts will be provided. •Parish agrees to allow the Artist to sell CDs on the parish premises immediately following the concert.
