    Notes1. Nominal (NOM) current is based on full rated output load.2. Maximum (MAX) current includes the short duration for battery recharge conditions.3. UPS input cables must be run in separate conduit from output cables.4. Reserved.5. Nominal battery voltage is shown at 2.0 volts/cell per NEC 480-2.6.     11. All wiring is to be in accordance with national and local electrical codes.12. Minimum access clearance is 3 feet front and 1 foot above the UPS.13. Top or bottom cable entry through removable access plates. Cut plate to suit conduit size, then replace.

    Additional Notes1. If site configuration includes a back-up emergency generator, it is recommended that the engine generator set be properly sized and equipped for a UPS

    application. Generator options would typically include an isochronous governor (generator frequency regulation) and a UPS compatible regulator(generator voltage regulation). Consult generator manufacturer for required generator options and sizing.

    2. If site configuration includes an automatic transfer switch, refer to the Liebert Power Line titled Criteria for Application of Automatic Transfer Switches(ATS) with Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS) Systems 91K-PLT-48-02. It is also recommended that the transfer switch be equipped with auxiliarycontacts. Consult transfer switch manufacturer for required transfer switch options and sizing.

    Battery Charger Inhibited:load above threshold

    The input contact isolator option hastriggered inhibition of the batterycharger and the load is above thethreshold selected by the user toinhibit battery charging.

    This alarm normally comes when theunit is being fed by an alternatesource such as a generator. Batterycharging has been temporarilyinhibited to reduce the load on thesecondary source. If the normal utilityis supplying the load check theprogramming of the ICI option in theUsers Option Manual. If the unit isbeing temporarily supplied by asecondary source, try to reduce theload below that sources capacity sothe system can resume charging.Contact Liebert Global Services ifyou have questions or problems.

    Battery Test Failed The battery test has detected a weakbattery.

    If there is no charger alarm, then thebattery has either weak cells or looseconnections. Contact Liebert GlobalServices for battery service.

    Battery Voltage Unstable A battery cell(s) is not functioningproperly or battery system wiring isloose.

    Contact Liebert Global Services forbattery service.

    Bypass Out-of-Sync Bypass input is not stable. UPSinverter output is not synchronizedwith the input power. Automatictransfers to bypass are prohibited.This is usually a temporary condition.

    If the problem does not correct itselfin 15 minutes contact Liebert GlobalServices. Check utility source.

    Bypass Overload An overload condition has exceededthe capacity of the bypass. If notcorrected a fuse will blow resulting ina system shutdown.

    Correct the overload condition. CallLiebert Global Services if thecondition persists.

    Bypass Power Supply Failure Control power is outside theacceptable limits. Bypass is notavailable.

    Bypass SCR Short The system has sensed unexpectedinput voltage. The UPS will transferto bypass.

    The DC voltage of the batterycharger is outside the specified limitsand the charger has been turned off.The charger will automatically restartwhen the DC bus voltage returns towithin tolerance.

    Make sure battery breaker is closed.Contact Liebert Global Services ifthis condition persists for more than15 minutes.

    Charger Fuse Blown The battery circuit breaker is open orthe battery charger fuse has beenblown. The charger is no longercharging the batteries.

    Check the battery circuit breaker. Ifthe breaker is open, try to reset. If thebreaker will not reset or is not open,Contact Liebert Global Services.

    Charger Hardware Shutdown Malfunction in the battery chargersection. If this condition persistswithout service, the batteries can bedischarged.

    Dial Out Attempt Failed If the unit is equipped with an internalmodem, it attempted to dial out dueto an event or command on themodem connected to the UPS. Theattempt was unsuccessful after 3tries.

    Check the phone numberprogrammed into the modem. Checkthe receiving modem. Check themodem operation.

    Excessive RetransfersAttempted

    Several automatic retransferattempts (20 attempts during 15minutes or less) have been made toretransfer the load from bypass (ifavailable) back to the UPS. The UPShas not been able to consistentlysustain the load, because of anoverload condition or an inverterfailure. The load will remain onbypass.

    Check other messages for inverterfailure. Determine cause of theoverload and reduce the load. If theproblem cannot be corrected, callLiebert Global Services.

    Emergency off. Recycle inputto restart.

    The UPS has been shut down froman external contact (REPO) or thefront panel EPO switch.

    Perform a UPS start-up procedurewhen the conditions causing theexternal shutdown have beencorrected. See 3.2.3 - Manual

    Restart after Low BatteryShutdown.

    Fault Transferred to Bypass The unit transferred to bypass due toa fault or overload in the system. Thisalarm accompanies the other alarmsthat caused the fault.

    Review other alarms. Removecondition-causing fault if possible(e.g., reduce overload). Call LiebertGlobal Services if fault cannot becleared.

    Ground Fault detectedon DC bus.

    There is a ground fault in the batterycabinet or battery wiring.

    Contact Liebert Global Servicesimmediately.

    Input Voltage Out-of-Tolerance

    The line to line voltage of the inputpower is outside the acceptablerange. In this situation, if the voltageis low the battery will supply power tothe critical load through the UPS.

    If this condition persists the batterywill eventually completely discharge.Check your electrical wiring. Checkwith your utility.

    Inverter Fuse Blown The inverter fuse has openedindicating a failure in the invertersection of the UPS. The unit willtransfer the load to Bypass.

    Inverter Neutral SCR Open On units equipped with the isolatedneutral option, the SCR has failed.

    LAN Interface ShutdownInitiated

    This alarm indicates the LAN is beingshut down for a programmed actiondue to the activation of one or morealarms.

    This should activate the automaticshutdown sequence programmedinto your LAN operating system.

    Load on Manual Bypass The Maintenance Bypass switch is inthe Maintenance position.

    When the maintenance activity hasbeen completed, return the unit to

    normal operation.

    Logic Error Automatic diagnostic testing hasdetected a failure (of hardware orsoftware) in the UPS internal controlsystem. A second message mayindicate internal test or softwaretime-out. The load has beenautomatically transferred to bypass.

    Record the alarm condition andcontact Liebert Global Services.

    Low Battery Shutdown Battery has discharged to theminimum allowable voltage. If thebypass is available the unit willtransfer to bypass. If the bypass isnot available, the UPS is shut down.No power is being supplied to the

    critical load.

    When the battery has recharged andif there is not fault, the unit willretransfer from bypass. If bypasswas not available, when input powerbecomes available, perform a UPSstart-up procedure. Unit will start-up

    by itself if auto-restart is enabled.Low Battery Warning Issued The battery voltage measurement

    has reached the user-programmedwarning value. The unit will shutdown at the specified time if inputpower is not restored.

    User should take appropriatemeasures to insure an orderlyshutdown of the system. If the userhas set the warning level above 2minutes, you may also take action toshed load and increase battery timeto complete discharge.

    Manual Off Activated(Alarm History Only)

    The UPS has been shut downremotely through the RS-232interface or through the advancedconfiguration menu.

    The UPS has been turned onremotely through the RS-232

    The UPS has been transferred tobypass remotely through the RS-232interface or through the advancedconfiguration menu. The UPS stayson Bypass until the retransfer isactivated and all required conditionsfor retransfer are satisfied.
