Azul y No Tan Rosa (My Straight Son) tells the story of Diego, a young and successful photographer, living in the glamorous but shallow and excessive world of fashion. A horrific tragedy turns his world upside down; his partner Fabrizio is now in a coma. Unexpectedly, and right at this inopportune time, Diego’s estranged son Armando shows up. Now both of them have to adapt: Armando to the unknown world of his father, and Diego to the attitude of his teenage son, the condition of his partner, and his relationship . My Straight Son is a dramedy that will touch, amuse, and inspire.

NEW LOCATION! 65 Laguna St.

Openhouse Community Room. Openhouse and the Mental Health Association of San

Francisco welcome you to a drop-in support group meeting for all LGBT community members age 55+

the above are shared here. The group is a non-judgmental, and supportive space where you can share your challenges and strategies.

Facilitator Varian Pierce is a part of the Mental Health Association’s Peer Responder’s Team. He understands the

challenges of “stuff ” and clutter because he faces them him-self. He gains strategies and supportive skills through ongoing

training at MHA and his work in the community.

We welcome diverse LGBTQ caregivers to this monthly, free drop-in support group. We welcome you even if you don’t con-sider yourself a “caregiver.” You may care for a partner, friend,

neighbor, or family member. You may provide care routinely or from time to time, in your home or community, or even to

someone you love over the phone or online.

Our situations are different but our resilience and need for support ties us together! “Dementia” is a big umbrella term and includes a vast range of symptoms of a group of more than 100 conditions that impair memory, behavior and thinking. Caring for someone with dementia, whether mild or severe, is import-ant work and inspires many questions about how to deal with

what is. We welcome you to join the conversation.

Group meets 4th Wednesdays of the month.

Questions? Call Ariel Mellinger at(415) 503-4180 or email: [email protected]
