I. General Series Information

1.The 2 012 L FSCART Light Series ( LLS) series i s d efined as a ser ies r unning six e vents i n the

Live f or Speed simulation software u sing the Fo rmula X R (FOX) car on a co mbination of road

and oval circuits.

II. LLS Car Restrictions1. Drivers are r estricted in the t yre co mpounds that they m ay u se i n LLSS. C ars not using an

allowed compound will be b lack flagged and must change t o an allowed compound.

a) Only R1 compound t yres may be u sed o n Ovals.

b) Only R1 and R 2 compound tyres may be u sed on Road ci rcuits.

III. Sporting Code C larifications / Notes

1.The Safety Car Pr ocedure as st ated in Sporting Code Article VIII is ap plied to this ser ies.

2.All open configuration courses w ere m easured using the m ethod prescribed in Article V I,1.1.a.

3.Please e nsure yo u are a ware of the R ed Flag and Server Failure P rocedures i n the S porting

Code. (Articles I X and X, respectively).

IV. Entry Procedure

1. There are 30 start positions avai lable in the LFSCART Light series. These spots ar e awarded

based on qualifying results.

2.Car Number 01 is reserved for the p revious LFSCART Light Series C hampion. This is the o nlynumber that may f ollow a d river. A ll other numbers must follow the t eam.

3.All drivers w ill have th eir entry a ccepted after completing all of the f ollowing:

a)A hotlap uploaded to http://www.lfsworld.net using the FO X , that is within 103.5% of the

World Record on any o f the f ollowing courses: BL1, KY2R, SO5.

b)A total online d riven distance e qual to or greater than 5,000 m iles / 8,045 kilometer s

4.Should a d river meet the en try r equirements, then for some r eason a b enchmark chan ges,

the d river will still be permitted to race but is en couraged to update w hichever requirementwas af fected.

5. All cars ar e single-driver cars. A “Team” is a g rouping of at least one but no more than four

cars.

6. A team may ch ange their drivers d uring the season as l ong as t he new driver fulfills al l entry

requirements.



V. Car Skins

1.All skins m ust fulfill the requirements as sp ecified in the NDR sporting code, Article II.3, with

the following additions:

a)Cars en tered by a team may be presen ted in substantially d ifferent liveries

b)The d river's name an d national flag must be p laced onto both sides of the en gine co ver.c) If two or more cars o f a t eam have su bstantially i dentical liveries, the rear wing end plates

shall have different colors.

2.All skins m ust also co ntain all elements r equired by t he p ublished skin kit.

3.Failure to run a correct s kin will result in a loss o f all Owner's Po ints f or that r ound.

VI. Qualifying Procedure

1.On Road Circuits:

a)Two co ncurrent 20-minute s essions.b)Cars s plit into groups b y o wner p oints i ntitially; new entries assi gned to a g roup

immediately p rior to sess ion start. Server 1 w ill be o dd positions i n Owner's Po ints,

Server 2 w ill be e ven positions in Owner's Points. Round 1 g roups w ill be a ssigned at

random.

c)Drivers m ay com plete as m any l aps as they d esire w ithin the 2 0 m inutes.

d)No driver is t o leave the pitlane if there is l ess t ime remaining in the session than an

outlap would take. P itlane exit will close at a t ime the administration deem too late for acar to leave to start a ti med lap.

e)Sessions w ill be held in the “ Hardcore mode” - Drivers w ill not be permitted to telepit /

spectate a nd rejoin the sessi on.

1.A driver will be p ermitted to telepit and rejoin at sessi on start provided that driver

has n ot left his p it garag e.

2.On Oval tracks:

a)One 5 0-minute sess ion, using an automatic sys tem, which will control the o rder andinform drivers o f their current status.

b)Each driver has on e a ttempt to complete a n out lap, two flying laps, and one in lap.

3. Any d river who is not within 107% (on ovals 103.5%) of the f astest time i n Qualifying will

not be a llowed to take part in the r ace.

a) This r ule w ill not be e nforced if the r esulting grid would have less t han 26 cars.



b)On road courses, any d river who has set a t ime w ithin 107% of the p ole p osition during

the O fficial Free Practice Session may be allowed to take part in the race at administrator

discretion. To t ake advantage o f this option, the d river must have made an attempt to

complete a lap in qualifying, defined as st arting one hotlap.

4.Drivers w ho have n ot competed in the q ualifying session may t ake part, if the g rid has op enspots and the 1 07% (103.5%) rule i s no t enforced.

5. Should the q ualification be st opped and not restarted, the r ace grid will be set by O wner's

Points. C ars n ot listed in owner's p oints w hen this i s en acted will start from the back of the

grid in numerical order.

VII. Race Procedure

1.There w ill be o ne r ace p er round.

2.Race D istance i s the m inimum number of laps to exceed a 125 mile r ace d istance.3.Each race has a t ime l imit. Ra ces ar e e ither their scheduled distance o r 2 h ours. Time l imit

timing starts f rom either the green flag of the initial start (not t he LFS start) or the seco nd

start wave-off command.

4.Starting procedure the oval:

a)The Sa fety Car will lead the g rid through two formation laps.

b)In the l ast sector, the g rid shall sort into formation.

1.The g rid shall be i n generally e ven rows of two with odd positions on the inside a ndeven positions on the outside o f Turn 1.

2. Between the inside and outside lines t here shall be at least 1 car width.

3.All cars s hall keep 3 car lengths t o the c ar in front.

4.After the S afety C ar turns i nto the p it lane, the f ield shall keep 80 k ph, 49 m ph.

c)The G reen Flag signal starts t he race. O nce t he Green Flag is ou t, overtaking is p ermitted.

5. Starting procedure for Road Circuits:

a) The pole sitter w ill lead the grid through one formation lap. A ll cars w ill leave large gaps,and generally t ravel at Safety C ar Speed.

b)Entering the g rid area the cars s hall slow down.

1. Drivers ar e t o stop in the next avaialble grid slot marked on course.

2.After all cars are o bserved to be in their grid slots, race control will display a

message st ating “All cars i n position. 10 seco nds t o lights!” - A head-up display will



show the d arkened starting lights.

3.After t he 10 seco nds h ave elapsed, the set of 5 lights w ill turn red from left to right,

one s econd apart.

4. After al l 5 red lights ar e illuminated, there will be a h old of between 2 and 5 seconds.

When the l ights ext inquish, the r ace is un derway.5.Should the st art be a borted, all lights w ill turn yellow and a m essage say ing “ Start

aborted! B egin another formation lap!” will be d isplayed. A ll cars s hall repeat the

formation lap and return to the g rid. O fficial scoring starts w ith this lap.

6.Jumping the st art will result in a D rive-Through Penalty. The system will alert

adminisrators t o any j ump starts, which will be automatically i nvestigated.

VIII.Official Classi fication

1.All drivers an d cars w hich start an LLS r ace will be classified in the resu lts an d given points,provided that they co mplete 75% or more o f the race d istance an d are n ot disqualified.

2.Bonus points will be aw arded regardless of amout of the r ace com pleted.

3. Drivers who time o ut or lose co nnection to the ser ver while r acing may n ot rejoin the r ace i n

progress.

4.If a t eam retires w ithout permission of race control from outside o f a p it garage, they will

incur a f ive (5) point penalty f or the first offence, ten (10) points f or the second offence, and

seri es ex clusion for the third offence.IX. Championship

1. There are four official championships o f LLS.

a)The LFS CART Light Series D river's Championship is awarded to the d river who scores t he

most points in the season .

b)The LFSCART Light Series Teams Championship is awarded to the t eam which sc ores t he

most points in the season .

1.Only t he t op two finishing drivers of a t eam may sc ore p oints t o this c hampionship.2. If a t eam has on ly o ne d river at a r ound, that team will not score a ny Team s'

Championship Points i n that round.

c)The LFSCART Light Series Owner's Championship is awarded to t he car number which

scores t he m ost points in the seaso n

1. Each car number scores p oints regardless of driver.



d)The LFS CART Light Series N ation's Cup is aw arded to the n ation which scores t he m ost

points i n the sea son.

1. Only t he b est finisher of a n ation scores p oints towards this c hampionship.

2.A 10 point bonus will be aw arded to a d river who attempts t o race at each race o f the

season . After one m issed round, the b onus is reduced to 5 p oints. The b onus is eliminatedif the d river misses m ore t han one r ound.

a) “Attempting to race” is defined as est ablishing a q ualifying time a nd missing the cu t to

race, OR starting the race for any d river who makes t he qualifying cut.

X. Communication

1.Race administration will also be a vailable i n a v oice c hat server during the co urse o f the

race.

a)On road course r aces, voice ch at is s trongly r ecommended, but failure t o be i n will only

result in participation refused at ad ministration discretion.

b)On ovals, voice ch at is com pulsory, and failure t o be i n designated voice ch at server will

result in prohibition to participate in the event.2.Blocking of in-game messages i s p rohibited and will result in a w arning to the team to

unblock m essages. If the m essages r emain blocked, a D T p enalty w ill be i ssued to the t eam.

3.Chat is p rohibited during any se ssion. I n qualifying, there w ill be o ne f astest sessi on lap

removed for chat on a p er line b asis. In the r ace, a D T p enalty i s issued. Re peat offenses

may m erit an SG penalty.



XI. Miscellaneous

1.Failure to format a d river name c orrectly w ill result in a 5 -point penalty t o the d river. P lease

see t he N DR Sporting Code f or the co rrect format.

2. The ad ministration reserve t he r ight to modify t his document at any t ime f or any r eason it

deems fit.
