Welcome to Lewis!

Lessons

We bring language and learning to life!

Studying in the UK is a wonderful experience, but it’s more than just that – it’s the perfect opportunity for your English to flourish. At the Lewis School, we never forget this. We look to develop your confidence and ability in English both inside and outside the classroom, while making sure you have a fun-filled experience you will never forget!

Experts in English language teaching since 1976, and a provider of teacher training courses around the world, we have developed a syllabus that is both challenging and fun. Lessons also link with cultural visits on the activities programme, enriching the experience of trips and providing greater opportunity for language practice. Our exciting range of programmes enables you to follow your interests and develop new skills. For example, our performing arts programmes, where students work towards creating a show, are a speciality of the Lewis School and a powerful complement to language study.

Adding to this our high levels of care, safeguarding and supervision, and our wide nationality mix (30 per year across our 4 centres), we believe our junior programmes provide the perfect environment for your English to thrive. We look forward to welcoming you and helping your English to come alive!

Our project-based syllabus ensures lessons are fun, fresh and purposeful. Lessons focus on developing your ability to communicate with confidence. You will have a written and oral placement test on arrival, and can be promoted to a higher level if you make progress during your stay. Our maximum class size is 15, ensuring plenty of individual attention.
