    Leviticus 1:1-2

ADONAI called to Moshe and spoke to him from the tent of meeting. He said, "Speak to the people of Isra'el; say to

them, 'When any of you brings an offering to ADONAI, you may bring

your animal offering either from the herd or from the flock.

Leviticus 1:8-9 The sons of Aharon, the cohanim, are to arrange the pieces, the head and the fat on the wood which is on the fire on the

altar. He is to wash the entrails and lower parts of the legs with water, and

the cohen is to cause all of it to go up in smoke on the altar as a burnt offering; it

is an offering made by fire, a fragrant aroma for ADONAI.

Numbers 15:1-3 ADONAI said to Moshe, “Tell the people of Isra’el, ‘When you have come into the land where you are going to live, which I am giving to you, and want to make an offering by fire to ADONAI — a

burnt offering or sacrifice to fulfill a special vow, or to be a voluntary

offering, or at your designated times, to make a fragrant aroma for ADONAI

But thanks be to God, who in the Messiah constantly leads us in a

triumphal procession and through us spreads everywhere

the fragrance of what it means to know him!

Romans 12:1-2 I exhort you, therefore, brothers, in view of God's

mercies, to offer yourselves as a sacrifice, living and set apart for God. This will please him; it is the

logical "Temple worship" for you. In other words, do not let yourselves be conformed to the standards of the 'olam hazeh. Instead, keep letting yourselves be transformed by the renewing of your minds; so that you will know what God wants and will agree that

what he wants is good, satisfying and able to succeed

Luke 10:38-42 On their way Yeshua and his talmidim came to a village where a woman named Marta

welcomed him into her home. She had a sister called Miryam who also sat at the Lord's feet and heard what he had to say. But Marta was

busy with all the work to be done; so, going up to him, she said, "Sir, don't you care that my sister has been leaving me to do all the

However, the Lord answered her, "Marta, Marta, you are fretting and worrying about so many things! But

there is only one thing that is essential. Miryam has chosen the right thing, and it won't be taken

Acts22:1-3 "Brothers and fathers! Listen to me as I make

my defense before you now!" When they heard him speaking to them in Hebrew, they settled down more; so he continued:"I am a Jew, born in Tarsus of Cilicia, but brought up in this city and trained at the feet of Gamli'el in every detail of the Torah of our forefathers. I was a zealot for God, as all of you are today.

2 Corinthians 2:15-16 But thanks be to God, who in the Messiah

constantly leads us in a triumphal procession and through us spreads everywhere the fragrance of

what it means to know him! For to God we are the aroma of the Messiah, both among those being

    saved and among those being lost; to the latter, we are the smell of death leading only to more death;

but to the former, we are the sweet smell of life leading to more life. Who is equal to such a task?

    Romans 6:15-18

Therefore, what conclusion should we reach? "Let's go on sinning, because we're not under

legalism but under grace"? Heaven forbid! Don't you know that if you present yourselves to

someone as obedient slaves, then, of the one whom you are obeying, you are slaves - whether

of sin, which leads to death, or of obedience, which leads to being made righteous?

    Romans 6:15-18 cont

By God's grace, you, who were once slaves to sin, obeyed from your heart the

pattern of teaching to which you were exposed; and after you had been set free

from sin, you became enslaved to righteousness.

So I find it to be the rule, a kind of perverse "torah," that although I want to do what is good, evil is right there with me! For in my

inner self I completely agree with God's Torah; but in my various parts, I see a different

"torah," one that battles with the Torah in my mind and makes me a prisoner of sin's "torah,"

which is operating in my various parts.

    Romans 7:21-24

What a miserable creature I am! Who will rescue me from this body bound

for death? Thanks be to God, he will! - through Yeshua the Messiah, our Lord! To sum up: with my mind, I am a slave

of God's Torah; but with my old nature, I am a slave of sin's “torah."

    Romans 7:21-24 cont

    Miserable / Wretched

    Ταλαίπωρος

    (tal-ai-pōros)

    Afflicted, weak, disturbed, oppressed

    Romans 7:25

Who will rescue me from this body bound for death? Thanks be to God….he will,

through Yeshua the Messiah, our Lord!

Romans 8:5-7 For those who identify with their old nature set their minds on the things of the old nature, but

those who identify with the Spirit set their minds on the things of the Spirit. Having one's mind

controlled by the old nature is death, but having one's mind controlled by the Spirit is life and

shalom. For the mind controlled by the old nature is hostile to God, because it does not submit itself

to God's Torah - indeed, it cannot.

    Romans 8:12-13

So then, brothers, we don't owe a thing to our old nature that would require us to

live according to our old nature. For if you live according to your old nature, you will certainly die; but if, by the Spirit, you keep putting to death the practices of the body,

    you will live.

Deuteronomy 7:6-9 For you are a people set apart as holy for ADONAI your God. ADONAI your God has chosen you out of

all the peoples on the face of the earth to be his own unique treasure. ADONAI didn't set his heart on you or choose you because you numbered more than any other people - on the contrary, you were the fewest of all peoples. Rather, it was because ADONAI loved you, and because he wanted to keep the oath which

he had sworn to your ancestors,

Romans 3:25-26 God put Yeshua forward as the kapparah for sin through his faithfulness in respect to his bloody

sacrificial death. This vindicated God's righteousness; because, in his forbearance, he had passed over [with

neither punishment nor remission] the sins people had committed in the past; and it vindicates his

righteousness in the present age by showing that he is righteous himself and is also the one who makes

people righteous on the ground of Yeshua's faithfulness

Romans 8:31-39 What, then, are we to say to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us? He who did not spare even his own Son, but gave him

up on behalf of us all - is it possible that, having given us his Son, he would not give us

everything else too? So who will bring a charge against God's chosen people?

Certainly not God - he is the one who causes them to be considered righteous!

Romans 8:31-39 Who punishes them? Certainly not the Messiah Yeshua, who died and - more than that - has been raised, is at the right hand of God and is actually pleading on our behalf! Who will separate us from

the love of the Messiah? Trouble? Hardship? Persecution? Hunger? Poverty? Danger? War? As the

Tanakh puts it, "For your sake we are being put to death all day long, we are considered sheep to be slaughtered." No, in all these things we are super

conquerors, through the one who has loved us.

    Romans 8:31-39

For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor other

heavenly rulers, neither what exists nor what is coming, neither powers above

nor powers below, nor any other created thing will be able to separate us from the

love of God which comes to us through the Messiah Yeshua, our Lord.
