We are so fortunate to have individuals like Marleen Forkas who live in our community

and invest in our children.

“The enrichment that children receive through a

good day camp program simply cannot be matched.

I wanted to do what I could to enhance our camp and

make the experience available to those children whose

families may not otherwise be able to afford it. When

you see the wonderful camp programs and activities

offered through the Levis JCC and what it does for

kids’ self esteem, confidence and social skills, you

know it’s one of the best investments you can make.”

- Marleen Forkas

Kid Power: At our camp, kids have the power to learn and grow without pressures from

school; to be prepared for future success and to develop skills in our warm and loving

camp community.

Parent Power: With diverse program options, stimulating activities, convenient schedules

and experienced staff, we make it easy to say yes to camp. You have the power to give

your child a summer of fun, well-being and friendship.

JCC Power: The Levis JCC has been providing children ages 2-14 with fun-filled summer

camp experiences since 1986. Let Levis JCC Marleen Forkas Summer Camp empower

your child with a truly special and enriching experience that will help shape his or her

life forever.

1. Power to Grow: Children learn from doing and at our camp there is plenty to do.

Hands-on discovery, practice and small groups create an atmosphere of participation.

2. Freedom to Enjoy: It is amazing how children blossom when you relieve them of

constant evaluation, grades and a permanent record. This gives them more freedom

to enjoy the journey instead of being consumed by the final destination.

3. Tools for Success: Camp leads the way in creating communities where children

learn teamwork as well as independent problem solving.

4. Opportunity for Variety: Camp exposes kids to a wide range of activities, ideas,

personalities and possibilities. Dabbling in various activities at camp makes for

well-rounded, well-balanced children.

5. Courage to Socialize: Healthy socialization means making positive connections.

Summer camp at Levis JCC is all about belonging, embracing your identity and

being part of a group that respects and values each member.

With a nurturing atmosphere and highly skilled staff, children

with special needs thrive at Levis JCC’s Camp Kavod.

Camp Kavod embraces children who have a wide range of

disabilities, while recognizing and addressing the unique

needs of each individual camper. The program is designed

to enhance social, motor, language and other life skills that

promote independence, while they have fun and play!

Sometimes you want to keep a good thing going...and for former campers

about to enter 10th grade, our Camp Counselors in Training program (CIT) is

just the ticket. Not only do they get to be part of one more summer of camp

at the Levis JCC, they get to help direct the show. Of course, this program is

also available for those who’ve never attended summer camp before.

CITs leave the program more confident about working with others and also

have a better understanding of themselves and their own strengths and

challenges. It’s definitely a lot more productive than spending the summer

at the mall!
