The Health and Social Care Certi! cate (Learning Disability)This is a smaller quali! cation containing learning disability speci! c units. This may also provide Continual Professional Development opportunities for sta" with the generic quali! cations.
Generic Quali! cations The Health and Social Care Diploma (similar to the previous NVQs in Health and Social Care).
Assessor Quali! cations The new Assessor quali! cations are now available. These replace the A1 Award. There is a knowledge only award, a competence award and a competence certi! cate.
Internal Veri! er Quali! cationsNow known as Internal Quality Assurance, these quali! cations replace the V1 Award. There is a knowledge only award suitable for anyone responsible for quality assurance systems (including managers) and a competence award.
Medication TrainingARC has revised the Handling Medication in Social Care Settings training materials to meet the new quali! cation requirements (including training and assessment for the medication units in the HSC Diploma). This package is available with Assessment of knowledge and/or assessment that will enable the learner to attain the HSC3047 Unit on the QCF.
In December 2010 registration for NVQ and LDQ awards closed. In January 2011 new quali! cations for sta" working in Health and Social Care were launched. This means that sta" will now have several options to gain recognised quali! cations under the new Quali! cation and Credit Framework.
ARC can support you in the transition from the current quali! cations to the new DiplomaARC has produced training and assessment materials that cover the Refreshed CIS, the Learning Disability Certi! cate as well as the Learning Disability and Generic Health and Social Care Diplomas.
The training looks and feels very similar to the previous training packages such as Basic Steps. There is an Induction (covering Refreshed CIS), with a manager ‘sign o" ’, and a more detailedEnhanced Induction, including assessment, which will start thelearner on the route for the Health and Social Care Diploma.
The Basics
ARC can o! er the Health and Social Care Diploma and Certi" cate as full quali" cations as well as unit routes for those wishing to build up or top up credit towards full quali" cations, or for Continuing Professional Development (CPD).
We are accredited to o! er the full suite of Health and Social Care units in order to create the Awards, Certi" cates and Diplomas (within the Rules Of Combination) to re# ect individual job roles and/or organisational requirements. Our models of delivery are # exible and tailored to meet your needs.

Getting Started is a generic induction training manual, which provides knowledge to meet the Refreshed Common Induction Standards. The manual includes:
Questions for managers to use to assess the learner’s knowledge. Once the manager is satis" ed with the learner’s knowledge and understanding there is a certi" cate for them to sign and issue.
Personal Assistants InductionThis is a specially designed learning pack for Personal Assistants who will work through it with their PA User. It will include some questions and a certi! cate for the PA User to sign and issue to the Personal Assistant. This will cover the Refreshed Common Induction Standards requirements.
First Steps to Your Quali! cation in Health and Social CareThis enhanced Induction package includes mandatory knowledge units to begin your pathway to the Generic Diploma in Health and Social Care.
First Steps to Your (Learning Disability) Quali! cation in Health and Social CareThis enhanced Induction package includes mandatory knowledge units, plus one learning disability unit to begin your pathway towards the Learning Disability Diploma in Health and Social Care.
