Inspection of In Ground Pool

4206 Cedar Meadow Lane

Pacific MO 63069 U.S.A.

As of Thursday, July 10, 2014

This pool is a Hydra Pools Inc. polymer wall pool built in summer of 2003. It was purchased & installed by the current homeowner; 18 x 35 Kidney Left diving pool with 8’ radius step. The original pool had cantilever coping, fiberoptic lighting and stamped concrete decking. Imperial Pools of St. Louis winterized the pool on and off the first 5 years then past 6 years we have winterized the pool. The cover was always taken care of by the homeowner in spring and winter. Imperial Pools of St. Louis installed the floor of pool & liner 2003. In or around 2011 a drastic leak was noted. Pressure test was done and found that main drain line leaked water. Water was left to drain down to area of leak. Homeowner removed old deck, coping and liner and dug to area of leak. It was found that a plumbing part (coupling) was cracked +\- 4-5’ below water liner, well below freeze point. The part was defective, which is a rare occurrence. New plumbing lines were replaced by homeowner and Imperial Pools of St. Louis for the skimmer, main drain and cleaner line. New valves were replaced along with most of plumbing above the ground. Once liner was installed, the lines were tested for leaks before back fill of gravel and new deck poured. At time of opening this year, no leaks or loosing of water was noted. Homeowners reported no leaks all summer of 2013 and 2014.

Pool Type: 2003 Hyrda Polymer walls, bracing, bullnose coping (2012), 8’ Radius step with (4) jets and air control, Hayward skimmer & fittings & liner lock. Condition: Very Good

Pump\Filter: 1 hp Hayward Super Pump & 24” Hayward Sand Filter with multi port valve. New motor installed summer 2014. Condition: Very Good-working properly, backwashed

during inspection. Pump strainer basket in fair condition; usable. No visible leaks noted at time of inspection.

Liner: 20 mil Oxford Aquarius Hydra Serial # 12070116(do not loose this #) w\ liner lock installed 2012 by Imperial Pools of St. Louis Condition: Very Good

Pentair “Legend” Pool Sweep: Summer 2014 Purchased entirely new. Condition: Motor is cycling on & off. Sweep was pre-installed from factory is not working properly. Customer is to evaluate the schematic of sweep and hoses versus to what is installed. Imperial Pools will evaluated the motor for proper wiring and repair as needed. VERY small wet area noticed at booster pump area. This small wet area does not effect the working of motor or pool sweep. No repair is needed, it may stop with time, plumping is new. Cost: ~$160.00

Chlorination\Sanitization System: Hayward in-line chlorinator accepts “Tri-Chlor” tabs only. A new O-ring was installed by homeowner-2014 and did not leak at time of inspection. Tabs were in chlorinator and is working properly. Condition: Good

Lighting: (1) New 2012 Savi Melody(NextStep Products) light was purchased at time of liner installation. It replaced FiberOptic lighting. This LED light is a mood light only. It is not meant to ‘light up’ pool. It is a party light with many colors and schemes including white. The 12v system with 100 watt transformer is in place but not hooked up. It will require an on\off switch and wired into transformer, then plugged into available receptacle. A proper 110v cord will be supplied by Imperial Pools of St. Louis and hook up for light to work. The light has a 2 year full warranty, purchased 8/28/12 from NextStep Products. Condition: New, but unable to test light b\c of lack of electrical hook up. Cost for hook up: labor ~$240.00 & new 110 short grounded 3 prong cord; $15.00

!Cover: Purchased outside of pool kit is a Cantar Solid Safety Cover with mesh drain. Anchors were reinstalled at time of new deck pour. There is one anchor missing and can be easily replaced. At time of inspection, cover was rolled onto a 2 x 4 and appears to be in good condition. Springs that were visible had their sheaths in place. Imperial Pools of St. Louis has never seen the cover in place hence, we cannot evaluate the integrity of the cover. Condition: visually good. Need one anchor; cost: $5.00

!Closing equiptment: All equipment for closing pool is available. There is a bottle of recreationl anti-freeze used in skimmer; was at residence at time of opening. Because pump\filter system is below water level, it is recommended that pool be closed by pool professionals.

Thank you for letting us inspect this pool, any ?’s please call or email.
