You state that your “mission is to honor and preserve boxing’s rich heritage, chronicle the achievements of th
who excelled and provide an educational experience for our many visitors.” I believe you have failed. I call
your immediate resignation.
A break-in occurred under your watch on November 5, 2015, which resulted in the theft of Zale family prope
Having been on display for seventeen years in the IBHOF Museum, two championship belts won
Middleweight Champion Tony Zale were stolen. This theft occurred over seven months ago and both belts
still unaccounted for.
The Zale family is OUTRAGED and DEVASTATED by the lack of security measures to protect our property a
the lack of accountability taken by you, Ed Brophy, as the IBHOF Executive Director. We believe it was y
responsibility to protect the Zale family’s personal property.
The consistent lack of communication and information from you is unacceptable. Since November 6

, you hanot returned one phone call to me. Jeff Brophy has not returned one phone call to the Zale family. There
been minimal and vague email responses by Don Ackerman on your behalf. The lack of empathy by you
apparent and unacceptable. You have never apologized or displayed any remorse toward the Zale family. T
is unprofessional on your part as the Executive Director.
Therefore, your resignation is necessary because as the Executive Director of the International Boxing Hall
Fame I believe you have demonstrated incompetence by not carrying out your mission as stated above and y
have shown your inability to handle the past seven months appropriately.
