I call for your immediate resignation. A break-in occurred under your watch on November 5, 2015, which resulted in the theft of Zale family property. Having been on display for seventeen years in the IBHOF Museum, two championship belts won by Middleweigh t Champion Tony Zale were stolen. This theft occurred over seve n months ago and both belts are still unaccounted for. The Zale family is OUTRAGED and DEVASTATED by the lack of security measures to protect our property and the lack of accountability taken by you, Ed Bro phy, as the IBHOF Executive Director. We believe it was your responsibili ty to protect the Zale family’s personal property. The consistent lack of commu nication and informatio n from you is unacceptable. Since November 6 th , you have not returned one phone call to me. Jeff Brophy has n ot returned one phone call to the Z ale family. There has been minimal and va gue email response s by Don Ackerman on your behalf. The lack of empathy by you is apparent and una cceptable. You have never apologize d or displayed any re morse toward the Z ale family. This is unprofessional on your part as the Executive Director. Therefore, your resignation is necessary because as the Executive Director of the International Boxing Hall of Fame I believe you have demonstrated incompetence by not carrying out your mission as stated above and you have shown your inability to handle the past seven months appropriatel y.
