LETTER OF INVITATION

Dear colleagues and friends,

It is my privilege to invite you to participate in the World Congress of Asthma 2014 in Mexico City,

Mexico, organized by INTERASMA to be held from March 29 through April 1, 2014.

INTERASMA, the International Association of Asthma, will gather physicians and health care providers

interested in asthma from all over the world in Mexico City next year. INTERASMA is preparing an

exciting scientific program translating new basic knowledge to clinical practice focusing on new

insights in epigenetics, proteomics, mechanisms, risk factors and new diagnostic and therapeutic

tools. The World Asthma Congress 2014 program will include three tracks: pediatricians, primary

care clinicians, and asthma specialists.

Mexico City it is one of the most beautiful cities in the Americas, offering an unbelievable cultural

and tourist menu, from the ancient Aztec and indigenous cultures to modern art and music. Mexico

City is famous worldwide for its outstanding murals, exciting music and unique cuisine. Last but not

least, Mexico City is now a safe city.

INTERASMA is now 59 years old, being the most senior international asthma and respiratory disease

organization in the world. As it approaches its 60th anniversary, INTERASMA is now in transformation

to become an ever more modern and dynamic organization, incorporating contemporary social media

tools to facilitate communication. INTERASMA aims to be the reference organization for primary care

physicians, healthcare providers and medical students worldwide who care for patients with asthma

with a special focus on clinicians from underserved areas of the world including Latin America, Asia,

the Middle East and Africa, acting as a source of education in diagnosis and treatment for asthma

and respiratory diseases.

Recent INTERASMA World Congresses have been very popular, including highly successful well

attended congresses over the last 10 years in Guadalajara, Mexico; Monte Carlo, Monaco; Athens,

Greece, and Quebec City, Canada the most recent in August, 2012.

We look forward to welcoming you to Mexico City next year.
