    Kids Message(Based on: Luke 10:30-37)

Who is our neighbor? There once was a man who was travelingdown a road that went from Dayton to Middletown. This was aroad that robbers traveled often. These robbers were men whowould frighten people, and then take their money. Sometimes, they may even beat them before they left.

One early evening, there was a certain man traveling all alonedown this road. Some robbers, who were hiding in the trees, came up to him and demanded his money. Of course, the mandid not want to it all away to the robbers so he resisted. Thismade them angrier and they not only took all his money, but theybeat him leaving him all alone on the road. The poor man was insuch pain, and the longer he cried for help the weaker hebecame.

Finally, he heard someone coming along the road. Maybe hewould get some help, he thought. He could barely see the manfor the bruises on his face and swollen eyes, but it looked like apreacher. There was a church sign on his van. Thankfully, theman cried out to him, but the pastor slowed down. Looked overat him and drove on. You see, the pastor had some other calls tomake, and a golf game this afternoon. Someone else would comealong he was sure. Right now, he had other important matters to

take care of. The man was so disappointed. He surely thought thepreacher would stop to help him. He continued to lay there ingreat pain hoping the next person would help him before he bledto death.

It was not too long when he heard someone coming on amotorcycle. This would be a quick ride to the hospital he thought.

Hey, that is Deacon John. To his dismay the deacon looked hisway waved, and sped down the road. He seemed in a big hurry. The man felt himself getting weaker and weaker, If he did not gethelp soon, he felt he would die the pain was unbearable.

Finally, after a couple hours he heard a car coming down the roadthat sounded like the muffler was out. That sounds like thejanitors car. He stopped, and got out and hurrying over to theman. He took out his First Aid kit and wiped the mans wounds, putting a bandage over them. Then, he gave his some water todrink. Lifting him carefully, he placed him in the back seat of hisold car and headed for the hospital. When he got his to thehospital, some men came out and they rushed him to ER. The

janitor told ER that he would pay the bill if the man did not haveany insurance. He knew this church member had just lost his job.He then told ER to take good care of him, and call him when theywere finished with checking him out. He would see that he got aride home. Which man was the neighbor?
