April 2012 Dear mission partners, On 2 nd –4 th March, I was privileged to participate and share at “Not One Forgotten” China Confer ence organised by Global Connection. Many brothers and sisters, who are burdened to reach to the unreached people groups in the Far East, came from the local churches across the UK and gathered together for a weekend of sharing and praying. It was eye opening for me to see that there are still many unreached areas in the Far East, where the people desperately need Christians to bring the love of Christ to them. During the conference, I met up with some greyhaired people, who are either former missionaries or missionaries’ kids carrying on their parents’ callings to be missionaries them selves. I was touched by their stories and dedicated lives for Asian people. When I looked around, I’ve noticed that the number of greyhaired people is much bigger than that of the other groups, such as Asians or young people. It is my desire to see a generation of younger missionaries, especially those from Asia or even from China, who can be inspired and rise up to take the baton from the pre vious generation and to follow their footsteps to enter the new mission field. During the last couple of years, as COCM reaches out to the mainland Chinese students studying in the UK and Europe, I am very encouraged to see quite a few young Christians seeking the will of God and bravely responding to the challenge of God’s calling. We use our mission organisation and vari ous events we organised as a platform to equip and mobilise these potential young missionaries. Each year, COCM Gospel Team recruits young Christian from various campuses across the UK to reach out to many mainland Chinese students who have the similar background as theirs. Our gospel camps and training camps also provide opportunities for these young Christians to be group leaders so that they can be equipped through handson experience. I pray that this young generation will be empowered to promote mission in their future areas of work and service in the church as well as supporting and participating in mission themselves. We desire to keep on embedding in their hearts the idea of mission as one of the possible life styles. The daffodils are blooming in Milton Keynes these days. The weather is getting warm and we can smell the fresh air of spring. Everything takes on a fresh and new look. This reminded us of the resur rection power of our Lord Jesus Christ, through which we have a brand new life in us. Here in the mission centre, we are busy preparing for our Mandarin Easter Conference. Please pray for all of those who are coming to participate and serve in this camp, especially for a large shortterm mission team from USA. Please also remember all of our staff workers labouring in the Europe mission field, who are engaging with seekers to share the love of God and with new believers to strengthen their new found faith in Jesus Christ. May all of us truly experience the love of Jesus in this Easter season! Serving together in Christ, Rev. Henry Lu General Director
