I worked with BJ when we were both part of the senior leadership team of xwave, a division of Bell Aliant. We worked together over a period of approximately five years. My experience with BJ has always been positive. He was a selfless leader who gave freely of his time and advice to all. He mentored, cajoled, encouraged and assisted colleagues whenever it was called for. His approach was one of collegiality and teamwork. He is a true team player. Besides BJs collaborative nature, he is an astute businessman. He has strong insight and is able to bring clarity and purpose to discussions in which he participates. He maintains a no-nonsenseattitude and manner while dealing with people in a courteous and respectful way. BJ seeks input and communicates well. He asks colleagues for feedback and advice and is open to hearing and utilizing the insights of others as he makes his way forward. Balancing that consultative nature is his strong bias for actionhe gets things done! BJ has strong management skills. He is an accomplished business development leader. He is extremely client focused yet balances the needs of clients with the needs of the organization for which he works. He shows vision and is an accomplished senior leader and executive. Based on my working experiences with BJ, I would work with him at any time the opportunity might arise. Based on the experiences BJ and I had working together, BJ has become a trusted friend. From me, he comes highly recommended. Yours Sincerely, Brian J. Hurley, M.B.A., I.S.P., C.M.C. To Whom it May Concern:

I write this letter in reference to my colleague, Brannon (BJ) Carter. I worked with BJ when we were

both part of the senior leadership team of xwave, a division of Bell Aliant. We worked together over a

period of approximately five years.

My experience with BJ has always been positive. He was a selfless leader who gave freely of his time and

advice to all. He mentored, cajoled, encouraged and assisted colleagues whenever it was called for. His

approach was one of collegiality and teamwork. He is a true team player.

Besides BJ’s collaborative nature, he is an astute businessman. He has strong insight and is able to bring

clarity and purpose to discussions in which he participates. He maintains a “no-nonsense” attitude and

manner while dealing with people in a courteous and respectful way.

BJ seeks input and communicates well. He asks colleagues for feedback and advice and is open to

hearing and utilizing the insights of others as he makes his way forward. Balancing that consultative

nature is his strong bias for action– he gets things done!

BJ has strong management skills. He is an accomplished business development leader. He is extremely

client focused yet balances the needs of clients with the needs of the organization for which he works.

He shows vision and is an accomplished senior leader and executive.

Based on my working experiences with BJ, I would work with him at any time the opportunity might

arise. Based on the experiences BJ and I had working together, BJ has become a trusted friend. From

me, he comes highly recommended.

Yours Sincerely,

Brian J. Hurley, M.B.A., I.S.P., C.M.C.
