April 3, 2009

Dear Dr. Jodziewicz,

Hello, my name is Shannon Peterson and I am a professor in the GSM Intensive English Program. I teach Professional class. It is the highest level in our program. The purpose of this class is to prepare our international students for continued studies in graduate and undergraduate programs.

One method of preparation is to have them listen to and take notes from lectures. We have been practicing this in class, and I would now like to give them the opportunity to listen and take notes in a classroom setting outside of the Intensive English Program.

All of my students have undergraduate degrees, and several have graduate degrees from their countries. Their English is strong, but the need an opportunity to hear the pace and vocabulary of a standard American classroom.

Would it be possible any time between April 6 and April 16 to have one or several students come to observe one of your classes? They have expressed interest in visiting America Since 1920.

I appreciate your time. If you have any questions you can contact me at [email protected] or by phone at 940-577-5295. Additionally you may contact my program director, Steve Baker at [email protected] or by phone at 972-721-5011.

I look forward to hearing from you,

Shannon Peterson
