2020 has proved to be a very challenging and different year for everyone, and certainly the film industry is no exception. No one can deny the tragedy and devastation that was felt on a worldwide scale by the outbreak of Covid 19, and our thoughts are with those who suffered tremendous loss during this time. As we step forward into the “New Normality”, we are sending you this newsletter to update you and to assure you that we will continue to push forward to achieve the excellent results that we have consistently produced.

COVID-19An unprecedented challenge faced the British Film Industry which saw film production halted, festivals postponed and theatres closing globally. BFI Chief Executive Ben Roberts pledged support to the UK industry which saw a huge global demand for video on demand due to social distancing and quarantine requirements.
Netflix, Amazon Prime Video and YouTube saw an 86% rise in streaming services which has proved to be great news as the majority of Red Rock Entertainment films are on one or more of these streaming channels. With a huge gap now appearing in the marketplace for new material, investment into new projects has proved to be exceptionally popular.
MEDICALEAF
January 2020 kickstarted with the exciting launch of “Medicaleaf”, a new EIS (Enterprise Investment Scheme) project. With the huge growth in the Medicinal Cannabis Market anticipated to hit $56.7 billion by 2026, combined with the Health and Wellbeing Market being valued at £137 billion by 2020, this unique opportunity allows investors to be part of Medicaleaf’s vision to be Europe’s leading provider of health and wellness cannabidol innovations. COLD PROVIDENCE We are pleased to announce the latest offer for the feature length film “Cold Providence”. Directed by multi Emmy nominated Bill Jones and Ben Timlett, and starring Karl Urban, who played major starring roles in Lord Of The Rings, Star Trek, Thor and Dredd, and Malin Akerman, who played leading roles in major studio movies such as Watchmen, The Heartbreak Kid, Rampage, Couples Retreat and SHOWTIME’S multi award nominated TV series Billions. This fast paced drama has been exceptionally well received by investors.
LOUISA, AN AMAZING ADVENTURE January saw the 121st anniversary of the true story of one of the most astonishing lifeboat rescues in history.
This feature length family animation is currently completing post production with a private investor screening being planned for later in the year (subject to cinema openings). With the addition of Celia Imrie as Narrator, it has proved popular with all age groups.
MADNESS IN THE METHOD This feature length comedy with all star cast including one of the last cameos of Stan Lee, was nominated for “Best Screenplay” and “Best Comedy” at the 6th National Film Awards. With international sales being achieved and a UK release expected imminently, this film has proved to be a winner with audiences worldwide.

GARY COLLINSCEO of Red Rock Entertainment, was elected as a judge for the 4th year at the 69th International Berlin Film Festival J.E.T.S Event (Junior Entertainment Talent Slate). Gary was invited to judge the contest along with a team of professionals in the film and TV field.
THE CONTRACTORS WORLD AT RISK
The producers of the T.V. series “The Contractors” completed filming on a feature length documentary called “World at Risk” which explores the mechanisms of media, politics and finance which shapes the world we live in.
Investors in “The Contractors” were able to benefit from the completed feature documentary alongside the 13 x 1 hr T.V. series.

HOLLYWOOD BULLDOGSWith the ever increasing demand for new material across all sectors of the film industry, we were pleased to announce the addition of “Hollywood Bulldogs”, a full length feature documentary depicting the story of “rags to riches” British stunt performers who went on to dominate Hollywood in the 1970’s and 80’s. With filming almost complete and post production underway, this opportunity has been a huge hit with our investors.
R.I.A.The producers of Ria announced sales in three territories purely based on the trailer shown at the European Film Market (Berlindale 2020) earlier in the year.
Ria is also represented at the Cannes On-Line Film Festival in June where further international sales are anticipated.

AN OFFICER & HIS HOLINESSNow that the film is nearing completion there is growing interest from both UK and international sales agents and distributors to sell the film in worldwide markets. They already have an offer from a sales agent in LA and others are making enquiries about the progress of the film.
This is due to the popularity of the Dalai Lama and the different creative aspects included in the film such as the narration by one of the nation’s favourite personalities, Joanna Lumley, and an original score by Grammy Nominated recording artist Anoushka Shankar. With the final completion funds they will be able to finish the film and deliver a completed project ready for worldwide sales. We anticipate a strong demand for this production.

During the awards process invitations were made to over 90,000 businesses and corporate professionals, magazine contributors and their subscribers to nominate companies & individuals based on factors such as service, innovation, experience, sustainability and other areas. Additionally, their research team put forward a selection of firms which they felt were deserving of recognition.
Red Rock Entertainment were considered in the category of the Film Finance Company of the Year. After reviewing information on all of those shortlisted, it was confirmed that Red Rock Entertainment have been picked as the 2020 winners.
