News from Kindergarten Room 22Our Friday was an awesome experience. All the children used

their 5 senses to explore pumpkins, inside and out! Thank you to

all the parents who helped with our activities.Thank you for all the generous donations that were donatedto the Hunter House!

Congratulations to Phoebe Muir for being the top moneyraiser for the Fun Run fundraiser. She raised $280.00. Way togo Phoebe!

Here are some additional tips on our Math Expressionsseries activity called The Number Parade. The numerals 11, 12and 13 are very tricky to look at and say. Its hard to makesense of them. With the new math series we know that...

The numeral 11 could be called (1 ten and 1).The numeral 12 could be called (1 ten and 2).The numeral 13 could be called (1 ten and 3).

We need to treat Mathematics like we do Language Arts andgive children lots of experiences to make meaningful connectionswith materials and mental math they know and can understand.We can all learn to be Math Smart!

We are focusing on the letter C c this week. We will also beblending the letters a and t. See if you child can tell you anywords that rhymes with the word sat.

On Friday, your child brought home a permission letter forour field trip to the Fire Department. We will need parentdrivers and booster seats in order for this adventure to besuccessful. Please consider joining us if you are able. Thank you!

I am looking to jazz up our writing center by adding some

variety. If any of my families have any magna doodles or anyother letter writing practice activities at home that are nolonger being used, maybe you would consider donating to the

classroom. Thanks!Popcorn and blue and gold spirit day will take place this
