Stating the Objective: By the end of this lesson, students will have learned how to research an important world topic in a group, write an essay on that topic, than turn that essay into a speech for the class. They will learn this by completing a webquest about global warming in groups then turning the essay in and presenting the speech to the class. They will both these assignments to 100% accuracy. Selection of Method: Students will be split into groups. Half of one group will research and write the essay, while the other half will read the essay then turn the essay into a speech and present that speech to the class. Media:

Check internet connection

Check over webquest

Check research sites provided to make sure they are appropriate.

Prepare Learners: The instructor will read the webquest out loud and go over what is required for

the students.

Require Learner participation: Students will work in groups to complete their research, speeches

and essays.

Evaluations of Method and Media: Students will have a class discussion on what they learned

from each speech and write a brief reflection on what they learned from each student’s speech.
