Lesson Aims:
1. to activate pupils’ background knowledge and vocabulary related to daily activities
2. to develop the skill of speaking and asking questions regarding one’s schedule;
3. to develop the skill of listening for general understanding;
4. to develop the skill of reading for specific information;
Materials: coursebook.
Methods: brainstorming, presentation, conversation.
By the end of the lesson, the pupils will have been able: to activate their background
knowledge and vocabulary related to daily activities, to develop the skill of speaking and asking
questions regarding one’s schedule, to develop the skill of listening for general understanding, to
develop the skill of reading for specific information.
Activity 1 Interaction T-P, P-T 5’
WARM-UP
- the T asks the Ps to listen to “Tom’s morning” text, to read it and to translate it
Activity 2 Interaction T-P, P-T, P.W. 10’
GRAMMAR PRACTICE
- the Ps are asked to solve in pairs exercise number 2 from the coursebook and ask their
deskmates what they do before coming to school. The T indicates the Ps to use the
reference words/schedules provided by the book
- the Ps are helped by the T if necessary
Activity 3 Interaction T-P, P-T 7’
READING
- the T asks the Ps to listen to the pronunciation of the text from exercise number 1 page
112, then to repeat after
- the T asks the Ps to translate the text
- the Ps are asked to solve exercise number 2 from page 112 which implies choosing the
correct answer regarding the text from page 111, exercise 1
Activity 4 Interaction T-P, P-T 10’
LISTENING
- the Tasks the Ps to listen carefully and then the T reads the text from exercise number 1,
page 113 for the Ps
- the Ps read in choir the text again with the T
- the Ps are asked to translate the text
Activity 5 Interaction T-P, P-T, P.W. 8’
GRAMMAR PRACTICE
- the Ps are asked to solve the exercise 2 and 3 from page 113 by choosing the correct
answer and/making short dialogues with their deskmates and indicate what time is shown
in the pictures

ASSIGNING HOMEWORK
- the T assigns as homework exercise number 2 from page 114 in which the Ps have to
form chronological sentences regarding the moments of the day shown in the picture
Assumptions: the Ps are familiar to one’s daily routine activities and they are able to describe a
day of their life.
