3. Teacher reads aloud the text using
stick puppets of Upin and Ipin. (refer

4. The pupils read after the teacher.
5. After reading, teacher asks some
questions on the text and reminds
pupils to love our own country.
6. Teacher then highlights the usage
of Wh questions in the text.
7. The pupils read aloud the Wh
questions.
8. Teacher pastes flashcards of wh-
questions with its descriptions on
the board. For example, where is
used for place, when is used for
time and who is used for people.

1. Teacher divides the pupils into
pairs.
2. Teacher provides each pair with two
envelopes. Envelope A consists of
question strips (using Where, When
and Who) meanwhile, Envelope B
contains answer strips to the
questions in The Envelope A. (refer
to Appendix E)
3. Teacher tells pupils that now, Upin
and Ipin would like to go for a
holiday together and asks the pupils
to match the question and answer
strips correctly by pasting them on a
paper given. (refer to Appendix F)

4. After matching the questions with
the answers, teacher asks pupils to
practise speaking.
5. Then, teacher picks any pair of
pupils randomly to present their
work.

1. Teacher tells pupils that now, Upin
and Ipin have decided to go to
Malacca. In order for them to get
the ticket, they need to win in a
game, called ‘Poison Box’.
2. Teacher asks pupils to help Upin
and Ipin to get a ticket by
participating in the game.
3. Then, teacher explains about the
game by pasting the instructions on
the board (refer to Appendix G) and
demonstrating on how to play.
4. After explaining to pupils, teacher
plays the music.
5. The pupils start to pass around the
box.
6. When the music stops, the pupil
who is holding the box at that time
needs to pick a number from the
