Step 5: Make a paper bee. Say the body parts using “This

is”/”These are”

Step 6: Write the body parts of a bee.

Step 7: Listen and read the text about bees. Answer the

questions. (p.40.)

Step 8: Listen and find. Say the types of bees.

(ex.14.p.41.)

Step 9: Make a bee diagram. Talk about it.

Step 10: Sing the song “Our Bee Song”.

Step 11: Make a beehive model. Display the models in the

classroom. Discuss them in pairs. Choose and vote for the

best behive model. Answer the quesion: Would you like to

have a beehive? Why? Explain the reasons.

All the activities will be developed with students in the partner schools and

adjusted to the needs, interests, age and linguistic competence of the

darbininkė avilyje šoka bičių šokį.

Įvairiomis šokių figūromis nurodo kitoms

bitėms kryptį ir atstumą iki rastų augalų.

Norėdamos sunešti 1 kg medaus, bitės

nektarą turi rinkti iš mažiausiai dviejų

milijonų žiedų, ir su juo į avilį suskraidyti

120–150 tūkstančių kartų. Skrisdama ieškoti

nektaro, bitė pasiekia iki 65 km/h greitį, taigi

gali rungtyniauti su traukiniu, grįždama į avilį

su 75 % jos svorio siekiančiu nektaro kroviniu,

ji skrenda dvigubai lėčiau.

Būdamos greta avilio, bitės jį gina ir gali

užpulti arti esantį žmogų, žvėrį ar gyvulį.

Toli nuo avilio, rinkdamos nektarą,

bitės vengia gelti. Net gaudomos, jos

pirmiausia mėgina pabėgti, ir gelia tik

prispaudus.

vabzdžiai. Jos duoda žmogui medaus —

maistingo ir vaistingo produkto, turinčio

daug cukraus.

medus – nežemiškas dalykas, dievų dovana.

Bitės dar gamina vašką — kuris naudojamas

farmacijos, elektrotechnikos, aviacijos

pramonėje. Iš bičių gaunama pikio (bičių

klijų), bičių nuodų, bičių duonos, pienelio,

turinčių stiprių gydomųjų savybių.

Iš naminių bičių produktų gaminama daug

labai efektingų vaistų.
