Warm Up Study Ladder Multiplication Challenge (Check student portfolios on Class Dojo for log in details). Problem Use RUCSAC. Read problem and understand what it is asking. * X ~ = 280. What might * and ~ be? How many different answers can you find? Complete the problem showing your working out. If you are having difficulty, here is a hint. If the number ends in a zero, what must it be a multiple of? Parents: Look for what strategies they are using. Are they completing the problem using division and their understanding of divisibility rules? Are they using ‘guess and check’? Are they using their estimating skills? Provided are the possible answers to the first problem so you can check if you are on the right track. Reflection what strategy did you use? How did you know when you got all the possible answers? Log in to Sound Waves www.soundwaveskids.com.au (purple009), click on Unit 11. Partner Test: Have someone read your spelling words to you and you write them on a piece of paper or whiteboard. Self-mark and add your score out of 20 at the bottom of the page. Optional extension complete student activity pages from Sound Waves, either print out pages or just write the answers on a ruled up page, with the unit as the title. Play any games that you want to repeat. Please upload completed journal or take a picture to upload on ClassDojo.
