6.1 Self-Motivation

SUMMARY Self-motivation is the determination to stay on track and to

avoid distractions. Long-term goals are completed in five or more years.

Medium-term goals are finished in one to two years. Short-term goals take less than one year to complete.

Each goal should have a timeline so a person can monitor the goal’s progression.

6.3 Time Management

SUMMARY Setting priorities allows one to realize and complete the most

important things. Scheduling in the priorities, then the regular daily and weekly

activities and chores, allows one to see where there is free time.

Time wasters, such as texting, phone calls, and television, need to be controlled so that the schedule is completed first.
