Set Induction( 10 minutes)
Questions :
Do you know how to sing “ Mary had a little lamb” song?
1. Initially, teacher just lets the pupils listen to the song.
2. Then, teacher lets pupils sing the song themselves.
3. Get pupils to stand beside their place and do the actions as they sing.
4. This song can provide a great opportunity for pupils of all races to integrate in the spirit of 1 Malaysia.

1. Initially, teacher lets pupils listen to the three children introducing themselves.
2. Then, teacher lets pupils recite the rhyme themselves.
3. Teacher encourage pupils to replace the names in the poem with their own and their friends’ names.
4. The rhyme is repetitive in most of lines so it should be easy for pupils to

Step 2( 25 minutes)
Work book 1. As pupils recite, let them face each other in pairs and shake hands,then change partners.
2. This rhyme also provides a platform for pupils of all backgrounds to integrate with one another.
3. Follow up with the exercises on English workbook on pages 9 to 11.

Closure ( 10 minutes) 1. Teacher sings the
song and gets the pupils to repeat.
2. Teacher guides the pupils to put in the appropriate actions to the song.
3. Teacher ends the lesson by recapping the day’s lesson and discusses the moral values.
4. Pupils listen and sing along.
5. Pupils show appropriate actions.
6. Pupils talk about the day’s lesson and the moral values.

95% of the pupils can replace the names in the poem with their own and their
friends’ names. Teacher need to guide them to introduce themselves by oral.
Pupils can do well if teacher showed them a word card. Everybody enjoyed to
sing.
MY SUGGESTIONS: Teacher can read story to the pupils once a week, so that they can practise
listen to english.
After listening to the story given, pupils can try to say some words which they had
listen to.
