MISSION MISSION STATEMENTSTATEMENT“A personal mission statement is like a personal credo or motto that

states what your life is about. It is like a blueprint to your life.” Sean Covey

In your copy of The 7 Habits, reread the examples on pgs. 81 & 82.

A mission statement can help you focus on what you want to do with your life…

It helps you set goals and motivates you to persevere in those goals.

“A mission statement becomes a personal standard for you, a self-created road map of how you will choose to live amid the

unpredictable circumstances and emotions that affect your life.” From Franklin Covey LEADERSHIP planner Mission Statement Activity.

NOW ITS YOUR TURNNOW ITS YOUR TURN

• As you now work on writing your own mission statement remember to think about the following:• This is your own work. It is for your own benefit. It should help you.

• Refer to your GREAT DISCOVERY activity.• Look back at pgs. 81, 82, 90, and 91 in The 7 Habits.• Feel free to be creative… borrow ideas, create something new, experiment, etc.

• What you write today is not necessarily permanent… It is like a TREE… It is stable and yet it can grow and change.
