Some jobs might require a cover letter
A cover letter is a business letter that accompanies an application or resume. Use it to introduce yourself, highlight your skills, and request an interview.
Examples of salutations if you don’t know the name: Dear Human Resources Department, To Whom It May Concern, Dear Manager

Once you’re hired, you need to get a work permit
If you are under 18, you need a work permit. The government requires this to encourage young people to stay in school and not start working full-time until they have graduated from high school.
