HURRICANE KATRINA

One of the most powerful hurricanes of all times took place on August 23, 2005. The site where this terrible hurricane formed itself was over the Bahamas Islands. After is formation, Katrina became category 1 in a scale of 5 dgrees, where 1 is the least dangerous degree and 5 is the most dangerous degree of a hurricane.

Katrina damaged the Bahamas and on its way to Florida, Katrina became category 5 and hit southeast Louisiana and Mississipi. It was August 29, 2005 when Katrina devastated the city of New Orleans causing death to 1836 people and damages for about 81.2 billion dollars. Katrina was he worst of all hurricanes since Okeechobee Hurricane in 1928.
