Teacher checks any difficulties with new words. b) Then she asks them to complete the ZOO notice, When all students have completed the notice, she plays the tape through again for them to check their ideas. She invites students to read through the gapped text, pausing at the gaps for students to supply the missing words.

To practise the Present Continuous Tense and the Present Simple Tense

She directs students’ attention to exercise 2 and Reginald’s questions and asks them to name tense used in exercise 1b.For example- page 20What is Floppy doing?She is eating grass.What is Hammy doing?He’s running round the wheel.Teacher asks student why the present continuous is used there.They look at the picture and say what each picture shows.They write the sentences on the board with teacher’s help and copy them into their notebooks.

To practice questions with do and does

Teacher asks a student to read exercise 3 and look at examples.They use Where does or Where do .. you live? Students work in pair. When they have finished they write down the questions and answers. Teacher goes round the class, asking different pairs to ask and answer questions.
