MOUNT RUSHMORE

• It is located in the state of South Dakota, in the

Black Hills.

• Its nickname is the Presidents’mountain

because there are four US Presidents from left

to right : George WASHINGTON, Thomas

JEFFERSON, Theodore ROOSEVELT and

Abraham LINCOLN.

• It took 14 years ( from 1927 to 1941) and 400

men to carve the mountain.

Mount Rushmore is a monumental sculpture located in the state

of South Dakota.

We can see the faces of four American Presidents.

Thomas Jefferson was one of the writer of the Declaration of

Independence in 1776.

Abraham Lincoln abolished slavery in 1862.
