Jobcentre Plus objectives
The key objectives of the Jobcentre Plus Offer are to:
•achieve increased numbers of working age people in work •reduce the number of workless households •reduce child poverty •encourage claimants in workless households to achieve successful and
sustainable entry into employment •help progression to better and/or full-time work for claimants already
working part time •to ensure that claimants who are not yet ready to return to work (including
Lone Parents with young children, and carers) receive an appropriate level of support to ensure they are prepared to return to the labour market at the right time.
