Dear Lacamas Families, Can you believe it is May and the end of the year is just around the corner! It’s amazing how fast a school year goes. What a privilege it is to watch our kids grow as we work together as a Lacamas community. Looking toward our year end activities and events, I want to take the time to thank all our parents and volunteers who have helped make this school year so successful. Lacamas is known for being a caring and supportive community. From our hardworking PALS group, classroom volunteers,
enrichment activity supporters, high school assistants and student teachers, your commitment and support of Lacamas is what helps make this community so special. I believe we provide the best for our kids when we work together. Thank You! May and June are chocked full of activities that we are excited to share. Lacamas is looking forward to several grade level field trips, the Talent Show, Robotics Competition, PALS Movie Night, Juggling Assembly, Kindergarten Orientation, Lacamas Showcase, 5th Grade Celebration, Fun Run, and our Field Day! Please take the time to check our calendar and join us for these yearend events. As our way to thank all who give of their time, energy, and heart, we invite our volunteers to a special “Volunteer Appreciation Luncheon” May 27th from 12:00-1:00 in the gym. Students and staff are excited to share with you our heartfelt appreciation for all you bring to enrich our kids education and lives. We want to treat you to a special lunch with our kids, so please mark your calendar and plan to attend. It is hard to believe that we are heading into our last two months of school! I am looking forward to our final days learning, fun, and celebration as we wrap up the 2014-2015 school year as a Leopard community. Julie Mueller Julie Mueller Principal

jump rope on the court.
Our kids enjoyed a special April assembly with marine biologist Joe O'Laughlin. He inspired the kids with his photos and stories.
