TAKING ALL THE STAKEHOLDERS ALONG THE JOURNEY

Am I dumb? Do I have a problem? Why am I singled out? Why is

(s)he so special? Even I want to go to this remedial teacher.

Am I dumb? Do I have a problem? Why am I singled out? Why is

(s)he so special? Even I want to go to this remedial teacher.

Is there a serious problem with my child? Won’t everyone see my child

differently? Will (s)he always need support? Will (s)he lead

a normal life? Will my child develop a complex?

Great! We have help! We can pass on the kids to the remedial teachers. What am I supposed to do with

these kids?

MANAGEMENT

THE ROAD SHISHUVAN ADOPTED• Management: All good schools have a remedial set up. It’s now made mandatory

by the government.

• Parents: Orientation and reinforcement of the benefits of the remedial education • Students: Work done individually with the remedial child and the general class.

• Teachers: Orientation and workshops on remedial education, understanding its scope and their role in class

• Counselors: They work in conjunction with the remedial teacher and the head of

department

• Head of Department: Is the vital link between the remedial teacher, teachers, parents, counselors and also the management.
