(ii) All the importers, before embarkment shall intimate the Quarantine

Ocer or Regional Ocer (AQ)and will seek permission seen da!s in adance

(rela"able up to three da!s in pressing circumstances) prior to actual shipment

so that proper arrangement could be made in the #uarantine premises whereer

applicable.

(iii) $he importer has to submit the copies of all documents including alid

licence, authenticated %eterinar! &erti'cate issued b! the ocial eterinarian

of the e"porting countr! as per subpara (iii) of para for getting permission

from Animal Quarantine Ocer or Regional Ocer (AQ) of the respectie port of

entr!.

3. Verifcation o documents by Quarantine Ocer or Regional Ocer

(AQ)

(i) $he Animal Quarantine Ocer*Regional Ocer (AQ) will issue noob+ection as preimport clearance to importer after erif!ing those documents.

(ii) In case the documents are found incomplete, forged or illegal and are

not in compliance with the Indian health certi'cate re#uirements at preimport

clearance stage, the Quarantine Ocer will not issue the no ob+ection certi'cate

to the importer allowing embankment of animal(s).

(iii) $he &ustoms shall inform through public notice to all stakeholders

including airlines not to allow embarkation of an! liestock without the pre

import clearance of concerned Animal Quarantine and &erti'cation tation in

the countr!.
