ORDER YOUR STUDENT ID CARD Get ahead and order your student ID card online through OASIS (oasis.curtin.edu.au). You’ll receive an email when your card is ready to collect or has been mailed to you. CAMPUS TOURS
Join student mentors for a guided tour around campus and visit key buildings and services you’ll need to access during your studies. We’ll also share useful information on where to find food trucks and the best hangout areas around campus.

As a student at Curtin there are multiple payment options available to you for your degree. In this session, we take you through these payment options, important dates, how to pay fees and how to request a HELP loan.
FEES INFORMATION SESSION FOR INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS
Tuition fees are a part of your university life, so it’s important to understand how they work. In this session, you’ll learn about how to find your fees, when they are due, and how to pay or find help if you’re having trouble paying on time.
INTERNATIONAL ORIENTATION
This compulsory session is essential for all new international students to help you get the most out of your Australian experience. You’ll learn important information about your student visa, wellbeing, safety and how to access academic and language support. Plus you’ll get to meet native Australian animals and experience a traditional Aussie barbecue.
LIBRARY TOURS
A library tour is your opportunity to get familiar with the resources and facilities available so that you can get the most out of the library from day one. Places are limited to the first 100 students to each tour.
MATURE AGE & PART TIME STUDENT ORIENTATION
Learn practical tips on how to succeed as a mature age, part time or online student, including how to access a range of support services. This interactive session will also include plenty of time to ask questions and mingle with fellow students.
OASIS, BLACKBOARD & IT ESSENTIALSLearn how to navigate Curtin’s online systems, including OASIS, Blackboard and eStudent. We’ll also cover useful information on how to access free wi-fi on campus, student software packages and more!
SUCCEEDING AT UNIFind out about the key characteristics and strategies shared by successful students and how they can help you have a successful first semester at Curtin.
UNIHUB & CAREERSWant to know how you can make yourself more employable? In this session, you’ll learn how to search for jobs, access career and resume advice, and find out more about career and leadership events.
UNI SKILLSEFFECTIVE READINGAcademic reading requires skill and stamina. This workshop will teach you the techniques you need to become an effective reader.
LIBRARY: WHAT’S ON OFFERLearn how to navigate the library’s online resources, including how to borrow a laptop, book a study room, use e-books and access journal articles. Places are limited to the first 50 students to each session.
MINDFULNESS MEDITATIONDevelop your focus, encourage positive thought patterns and improve your memory with a 30 minute mindfulness meditation session. No registration is required however places are limited to 18 people to each session.
REFERENCING & ACADEMIC INTEGRITYDiscover the tools you’ll need to navigate the tricky situations that might challenge your academic integrity during your studies. We’ll also cover some useful tips and resources to help you become a better writer.
TIME MANAGEMENTLearn practical tips, tricks and techniques that will boost your time management skills and keep you on track through your studies.
