    Legal Profession (Solicitors) Rule 2007

    Introduction

    These Rules apply to persons who may engage in legal practice in this jurisdiction as a solicitor [as defined in Schedule 2 of the Legal Profession Act 2007 (the Act)], or the practice of foreign law in this jurisdiction as an Australian registered foreign lawyer [section 29(2) of the Act] and, where specified, to government legal officers [section 22 of the Act].

    The Rules are divided into five categories under the following headings:
