Leg 24 - From Aulla to Avenza

Description
The first section of the route follows mainly the path, it is hard and very nice. It gives the first view of the sea. It is interesting to grasp the atmosphere sorrounding ancient villagesalong the walk, to visit the ruins of Brina Castle, and the pretty town of Sarzana. The second half is flat; themain attraction is the archaeological site in Luni, an ancient Roman port where pilgrims of Via Francigenaembarked to go towards Santiago. There is a sufficient water supply. Road-houses in Sarzana, Caniparola,Mani di Ferro.
