Tridonic is well positioned to significantly contribute to the global development of IoT. Combining the maturity and speed of a start-up with decades of experience servicing the lighting industry’s needs for power electronics and controls, Tridonic is ready to enable IoT-based services and solutions by merging the best lighting com-ponent technologies with the application capability from its software engineering team in California. Luminaires represent the highest potential of powered solutions in any environment. In the future, luminaires will be equipped with technology enabling them to be addressed as a node in an Internet (IP) Protocol network. As a result, the lighting network can become a high density data network to support emerging IoT-driven applications in the smart building environment such as space manage-ment and indoor navigation.
Controls
Tridonic’s luminaire control systems are standard and integrated into its drivers. The innovative ready2mains plattform uses the mains cable to transfer data. Luminaires are controlled and dimmed directly via the mains, with no need for any additional wiring.
Connectivity
Tridonic will introduce net4more, a flexible, scalable, open architecture networking platform to enable lighting designers, electrical contractors, facility managers and IT managers to use their smart luminaires as the backbone for the integrated network of a smart building.
Tridonic understands that connecting lighting for our customers is just the beginning. Soon our customers will be adding sensors and new devices to their networks that are being developed today for tomorrows lighting use. This inevitable expansion of the network is where the network archi-tecture could become complex and vulnerable to security issues. net4more solves those problems.
Developers at the company have created a future-proof hardware and software platform known as net4more. The net4more toolbox, which will not only connect luminaires with each other, but deliver a value add that goes far beyond lighting. It provides access to data without the need for an additional gateway and is therefore a platform for developing services that go beyond light.

LED modules and LED Drivers from Tridonic provide general illumina-tion for the media library in the new culture centre in Saint-Malo. The high luminous flux of the energy-efficient LED modules contributes to the beacon-like quality of the building at night.
The 8'18" lighting designers wanted to keep the wooden ceiling in the 3,500 square metre media library free of lighting equipment so they integrated light lines in each of the wooden pillars that interrupt the glass facade. The vertical lighting solution is given structure by wooden slats arranged horizontally. The spacing and angle of these slats vary according to the height of the room. Compared to T5 luminaires, an LED solution offers lower maintenance costs and a 50 per cent reduction in energy consumption.

Options
The SLE G6 modules with housing will be delivered with an option thermal interface material (TIM) to not only save an additional step in production. Also, the workspace does not need extra paste for an improved thermal connection there is also no worries that the TIM will dry out over time.
The SLE series of modules for spotlights and downlights proves that technical development at Tridonic never stands still. Now in its sixth generation, this series is the result of constant improvements which manifest themselves in particular in outstanding efficiency and brilliant color rendering which is far above the usual standard thanks to the high CRI and especially the Ri9 value.
With an impressive variety of special color modules, the SLE 6 series gives luminaire manufacturers the freedom to meet a wide range of lighting requirements for product presentation in all relevant sectors, whether fashion, food or art. All the modules are compatible with the compact drivers in the standard portfolio, opening up a broad spectrum of possible solutions. This makes it easier to adapt the quality of a lumi-naire to different applications with a high degree of precision.

The LLE modules are perfect for linear, general or architectural lighting because as a complete LED system with matching LED Drivers they cover all the standard re-quirements for lumen packages and color temperatures. The design of the modules ensures that the lighting will continue to operate even if an individual light point should fail. The modules are also available in various lengths that can be individually combined. A selection of LED Drivers (constant current or 0-10 V dimmable) as linear slim profile versions round off this high-efficiency system.

Tridonic has the first complete professional solution for upgrading existing luminaire designs to LEDs.
Appropriate accessories from Tridonic provide quick and easy LED upgrades for linear fluorescent luminaires (T5 and T8) without the need for any tools. Covers with different diffusers and close-fitting end caps

The robust PMMA covers for the LLE 24 modules have four beam angles, meeting a wide variety of lighting requirements. While asymmetrical (ASY) and double asymmetrical (DASY) lens are used especially for shelving and walkway lighting in hypermarkets and supermarkets, the batwing lens offers homogeneous light distribution, and the Intense version provides targeted light even from great heights.

The ACQ mounting bracket enables the Module QLE G1 SNC to be mounted correctly from one another in the luminaire. A sensor can be paired in between the two mounting brackets. Adding additional value to the application.

Primary applications
The LLE FLEX LED modules are as flexible as the name suggests. These highly homogenous strip lights from the reel are suitable for numerous lighting tasks, from cove and accent lighting to decorative profile lighting. The main benefits are the bending radius of 1.18"/30 mm and the option of cutting to length every 1.97"/50 mm. A wide variety of light colors are available and a choice of CRI 90 or CRI 80. LLE FLEX modules are the perfect system solution in combination with a constant voltage LED Driver with the appropriate output. The fixed-output or dimmable strip enables long lighting solutions to be created.

IP67 type of protection makes the flexible lighting strip resistant to water and dust. It is therefore ideal for use in bathroom lighting in particular.
With the innovative airGAP manufacturing process, Tridonic has succee-ded in completely eliminating the usual color drift that occurs in higher protection classes. This means that LLE FLEX IP67 EXCITE can be perfectly combined with lighting strips that have no IP protection. The result is a uniform appearance.

The surge protection device (SPD) is particularly suitable for the North American market and offers the driver technology additional protection against overvoltage of above 10 kV. The device is installed upstream from the driver and prevents the high-quality technology from being damaged – in the event of a lightning strike, for example. With IP67 pro-tection rating and an extremely wide ambient temperature range, it also offers outstanding protection in challenging environments.

The UL-certified Low-Bay Sensor combines daylight and motion sensors in a highly compact enclosure. The multi-sensor is a perfect supplement to the driver portfolio and is the optimum solution for smaller office applications. It is fitted with switch and dimming functions. There is also the option of controlling the light via a wall switch. The basicDIM ILD is also available with an infrared sensor as an option.
