Light �xtures are often overlooked due to inaccessible high ceilings and walls but can however, still harbour hidden and harmful bacteria.

Bene�ts of Bio-luminaire
ReliabilityDesigned and manufactured at our purpose built factory in the UK. The entire Bio-luminaire range provides a direct energy ef�cient replacement for traditional lighting. Using only the best quality components and LED’s the range is designed to provide exceptional reliability and reduced site maintenance/running costs in the long term within it’s 5 year quality guarantee.
Hygiene The entire surface, including the casing and diffuser of the Bio-luminaire is protected with proven BioCote technology. Not a coating but a safe and natural silver additive integrated into the structure of the paint and polycarbonate at the time of manufacture. This has been independently laboratory tested and achieved over a 99.% reduction in levels of bacteria upon the luminaires surface.
CompatibilityTo ensure compatibility across all technological platforms the Bio-luminaire range is designed to work with Fixed Output/DALI/1-10V dimmable driversand can have integral standard, Self Test and DALI addressable emergency functionality.
We can also incorporate a wide variety of sensors that can communicate via Bluetooth technology. We can also offer bespoke sizes and con�gurations dependant on your project requirements.

On a standard unprotected light �xtures surface the bacteria begin to grow and multiply. The green staining indicates live bacteria.

Bio-luminaire effectiveness
The proven effectiveness in reducing the levels of surface bacteria in our Bio-Luminaire range is with the use of BioCote® technology using natural silver. Silver is an extremely effective and proven antimicrobial that we manufacture into the entire Bio-Luminaire product structure, making Bio-Luminaire inherently more hygienic for it’s lifetime.
Antimicrobial silver has been used for many years and today is employed in many markets such as healthcare, food & beverage, and water treatment, as well as other applications. We use BioCote® as it is a safe, effective, longterm,reliable and safe solution with proven results.
Independant laboratory results clearly show a huge reduction of over 99% of surface bacteria over a 2 hour time period.
