    FOREWORDSoutheast Asian Ministers of Education Organisation Regional Centre for Education in Science and Mathematics (SEAMEO RECSAM) was formed to contribute to the development of science and mathematics education among its member countries and beyond. One activity of the centre is to convene conferences and seminars to bring together educators and researchers from around the globe to discuss important issues pertaining to improving science and mathematics education supported by Technology-enhanced Learning in the SEAMEO region and beyond.

    This book publication focusing on Blended Learning consists of a compilation of exemplars on Technology as tool to enable teaching & learning and enhance essential skills. These include research-based articles related to technology-enhanced science and mathematics teaching as well as learning approaches that were presented in the Blended Learning symposium and digital poster presentation during the 6th International Conference on Science and Mathematics Education (CoSMEd) held in November 2015.

    Through a stringent peer reviewing process, a total of nine articles or proposals from the science and mathematics categories were selected from symposium (one science and two mathematics) and digital poster (three science and three mathematics) presentations during CoSMEd 2015. Four additional invited papers related to Blended Learning were also selected through a peer reviewing process to provide more in-depth discussions on the areas as aforementioned in line with the title of the book Learning Science and Mathematics Together (LeSMaT) in a Borderless World using Technology.

    We hope that the contents of this book will add to our understanding of Blended Learning as well as some of the global issues that are confronting the educational systems and society of today. It is expected that this inaugural publication on Blended Learning could spearhead more research and development activities as well as publication related to technology-enhanced learning.

    I would like to commend RECSAM, the authors and the editors of this volume for their efforts in bringing this work together.
