SAFE, NOISELESS AND INTELLIGENT
Most library transactions are often unsupervised and the system in constant use by visitors, students, etc. Consequently, a mobile bay solution has to have extensive built-in security features. Qubiqa SHADE E9000 offers by default no less than 14 security features—Autoblock, DriveStop (red dot), IR Beam, Aisle Protection, DriveTime Out, Mains Isolator, just to name a few.
Another safety aspect is computer controlled electronic movement of the—often very heavily laden mobile bays that ensures stable and vibration free speed, which prevents the shelf contents from shaking, rattling or even falling off the shelf.
Evidently, the noise from other motorised systems can be an issue. Qubiqa SHADE E9000 is setting new standards for silence. Warning beams can even be turned off and failure signals transferred to security centres, etc.

DID YOU KNOW?Safety is a common concern when considering mobile shelving. Qubiqa’s Shade M9000 system has been used in hundreds of libraries with open access. The mechanical units are driven by a direct-drive system for total end-user safety. Should units be moved while a person is in an aisle, the handle will slip upon the unit meeting the user, unlike other systems with a positive drive. A push button operational lock is included on each mobile unit that secures aisles.

MANUALLY OPERATED STORAGE SOLUTIONS

All Qubiqa INTELLIGENT STORAGE solutions have Index Modules as a paramount part of the design.The integrated Index Modules on all end panels are available in various heights (suitable for wheelchairusers) and can cope with any numerology needed.
As a result it is possible to create a clear, distinct and logical environment without the need for untidylabelling stuck onto the decorative end panels.
DESIGNED FOR LOGIC SELF-SERVICE
The Qubiqa Shade M9000 is a Gearwheel system where you turn a handle to access the units. This system is very user friendly in an open access environment and the quality of its gearing makes it very easy to move units compared to other systems, allowing up to 4,800 kg to be moved with a 1 kg force. This means more units can be moved at once so access is quicker thus reducing strain on the users since there are lessturning operations involved.
