What do I know about the issues?
Once you have decided on the problem you want to do something about, share what you know about the issue between all members of the group.
Gather/organise
What do we want to achieve?
What else do we need to know?
Once you have set your goal, identify the talents within the group.
What other knowledge and skills might you need in order to achieve your target?
Identify
O. K. You’ve agreed your goal!.
Now think of ways that you might achieve it.
Use your knowledge, experience and imagination!
How many ways can we think of to tackle
this problem?
Generate
Think about the amount of time, people and resources you have got.
Select the best ideas – but be realistic!
Now draw up a plan of action
Which are the best ideas? Now plan how to carry them out!
Decide
Decide who is going to do what, and how much time you can allow for each task.
Have you got everything you need before you get started?.........
Let’s do it!
Implement
How well did we do? What’s the evidence?
Did you achieve your goal?
How well did you work together as a team?
Did you make the best use of your talents?
Was it worthwhile?
Evaluate
What methods will you use?
Who is going to do what, and in which order?
How will you grab the audience’s attention?
Let’s tell someone how we did it!
Communicate
What did you do best?
What were your weakest points?
What do you need to learn more about?
What would you change if you were to do it again?
What have I learned through this experience?
