Our carers Helpline is open Monday to Thursday 9.30am-
8.00pm and Friday 9.30-4.30pm.
Trafford Carers Centre can offer a range of services to help
you in your caring role, these include:
A specialised caseworker who can come out and
provide you with information, advise, support and a
carers assessment. From the carers assessment, the
caseworker can see if there is need for any extra
support from other services and help to get this put in
place. Once the assessment is complete regular
reviews can be done to keep up to date with the
caring role and to identify if needs change and if more
support is needed.
Support Group for carers which run quarterly.
Dates and times are advertised in the Trafford Carers
Centre newsletter.

Personal Budget. The purpose of the budget is to
give carers some ’time out’ and to improve their
wellbeing. Carers can apply for the budget once they
have had a carers assessment or a follow up review.
If the money is awarded it can be used to spend time
away from your normal caring role. It is not to be
spent on the person u care for unless you will be
getting a break also. Please note you can apply for
the budget once a year.
