Besides all this, the island offers other activities including horse riding and trekking: you can circle the island taking the historical walking trail of Camí de Cavalls which has existed since 1330. Menorca, declared a Biosphere Reserve on October 8th in 1993, is a territory with a very rich traditional rural landscape. This activity is based on sport. It consists of three races in the same competition: 44/21 and 12 Km, running through the Menorcan countryside.

Trail dels Fars

The Historic Day of Menorca is celebrated, in which the ani-mals of the town are also baptized. Any animal can be bapti-zed, both the smallest and the hamsters, as well as the cows. Also, another traditional act is made to commemorate the three blows that occurred the day Menorca was conquered.

Carnaval of Alayor

On this holiday both the little ones and the adults dress upduring the night and dance to the rhythm of the music.

This day celebrates the legend of Sant Jordi, how he saved the princess from the dragon and now we celebrate by buying and selling books on street stalls and tradition is to give a boy a book and to give the girls are rose.
