Developed to encourage the candidates to be responsible for the development of Lean Six Sigma Implementation throughout their organizations. This course is designed for Supervisors and Executives who are responsible for designing and implementing corporate wide improvement and cost optimisation initiatives.
• The Yellow Belt participants will HAVE knowledge of Lean and Six Sigma, and each of the five phases that are to be applied in practical terms.
• This course is designed to provide a broad understanding of the Lean and Six
Sigma improvement methodology, concepts, and language, along with a complete toolbox of basic process improvement methods.
• The Six Sigma Yellow Belt course is designed to enhance technical problem
solving skills. Instruction is application focused, therefore requiring all participants to successfully support existing or new Lean and Six Sigma projects.
• The Yellow Belt upon completion of this training will participate as a core team
member or subject matter expert on a project or projects together with the supervisors/managers.
• The tools and deliverables of the Six Sigma Yellow Belt Program modules / topics
are as below. These modules will be delivered with Lean QS simulation over 2 Days. The course curriculum and modular topics including workshops are a blend of Lean and Six Sigma as below with the Lean QS Simulation
Programme Outline
About the Lean QS Simulation:
This interactive program incorporates a Lean continuous improvement framework.
Participants will be given a hands-on experience in solving critical business issues by
using a structured problem-solving process and the continuous improvement
methodology using Lean techniques.
The Programmes Aims to
• Provide insight on the thought processes and change management using LEAN & SIX SIGMA concepts.
• Cater to those from the service industries that are keen to gain knowledge in
applying the process improvement principles to the production and/or transactional processes.
• Maximizes the performance of a business operation using continuous
improvement techniques, to follow the established PDCA & DMAIC methodology and use tools and techniques from lean and six sigma toolboxes.
The Lean QS Simulation - E3 (Envision, Execute, Experience) is an interactive
workshop designed to demonstrate how breakthrough performance can be
achieved with the hands-on application of process improvement methodologies. You
will learn:
Programme Objectives
• The continuous improvement language – Gemba, Hoshin, Poka-Yoke, Kaizen etc
• Working and practical knowledge of continuous improvement tools
• How to achieve breakthrough Lean Six Sigma performance methodologically
• To understand the Voice of Customers and its effect on Business results
• Effective Communication and Thinking out of the box
• Eliminate the undesirable effects, and
• Prevent them from happening again in the future
The simulation sessions represent transaction days. The simulation establishes a
typical high level ‘bad-day-at-work’ scenario with time pressures and complaints
mounting from ‘customers’. It will provide the participants with snapshots of existing
inner workings. The participant will experience the importance of using score-cards
and key performance indicators as a navigating tool for organizational change
through process performance. This simulation also focuses on the understanding of
the Voice of Customer, Voice of Employee and Voice of the Business.
Throughout the sessions, participants will be introduced to tools that will help them
in solving the problem and generate solutions that can be implemented. The
simulation will demonstrate the importance of Leadership and vigorous adherence
to the methodology in order to achieve significant gains from Lean Improvements.
