EVEREST commenced manufacturing of Twin Lobe Rotary Air Blowers

way back in 1980. Since then the company has consistently strengthened

its manufacturing base, producing a wide range of products. This broad

product line includes Twin Lobe & Tri-Lobe Rotary Air Blowers / Compressors

(Roots Blowers), Mechanical Vacuum Boosters, Dry Screw Vacuum Pumps, Acoustic

Hoods & Industrial Vacuum Systems. These wide-ranging products and the technical

expertise gained over the years have enabled Everest to serve various segments of

industry such as water treatment plants, effluent treatment plants, cement plants,

aquaculture farms, chemical & pharmaceutical plants, food processing units, waste oil

re-refining units, paper plants, vacuum plants and systems and pneumatic conveying

systems.

The blowers find use in applications requiring medium pressure air such as aeration

in sewage treatment and effluent treatment plants, filter backwash, agitation of

electrolyte, pneumatic conveying, regeneration of dryers & molecular sieves,

The mechanical vacuum booster & Dry Screw Vacuum Pumps, a sophisticated piece

of machinery developed by the company, finds use in chemical and pharmaceutical

metallizing, vegetable oil deodorization, solvent recovery, vacuum drying, tray

drying, vacuum distillation, thin film deposition, molecular distillation, vacuum

available as package units, ready to install or as bare blower units for replacement.

WORKING PRINCIPLE

Everest Twin Lobe Rotary Compressors/Blowers are positive displacement units, whose pumping capacity is determined by size, operating speed and pressure conditions. It employs two Twin Lobe impellers mounted on parallel shafts, rotating in opposite direction within a casing closed at the ends by side plates. As the impellers rotate, air is drawn into one side of the casing and forced out of the opposite side against the existing pressures. The differential pressure developed, therefore, depends upon the resistance of the connected system. The Blowers, being positive displacement type, do not develop pressure within the casing but the discharge pressure depends upon the system resistance / back pressure. Effective sealing of the compressor inlet area from the discharge area is accomplished by use of very small operational clearance, eliminating the need of any internal lubrication of the lobes. A pair of accurately machined alloy steel, hardened and ground timing gears maintain clearances between the impellers, during rotation. The air, thus delivered, is 100% OIL FREE. The pumping capacity of a lobe compressor, operating at constant speed remains relatively independent of inlet and discharge pressure variations. These Blowers are constant volume machines, which deliver a fixed discharge against the system back pressure. It is, therefore, essential to ensure that minimum pipeline restrictions, at the inlet and discharge, are imposed. Adequate size piping and large radius bends ensure minimum line losses resulting in higher efficiency and low power consumption. Sudden change in pipeline cross section should also be avoided. To change capacity, it is necessary either to change speed (energy saving) or vent some of the air into atmosphere (not energy saving). The air must not be recirculated from the discharge to suction as it may result in overheating. No attempt should ever be made to control the capacity of compressor by means of throttle valves in the intake or discharge piping. This increases the power load on the motor and may seriously damage the compressor. There is an increase in the discharge air temperature due to

0heat of compression. As a thumb rule the discharge air temperature increases @ 10 C 2 for every 0.1 Kg/cm of P above the inlet temperature.

EZR series blowers are large size, high pressure, rotary blowers which have been developed on our rich manufacturing experience to cater to the demand for large capacity & high pressure rotary blowers. It has a special rotor profile which results in a high efficiency & energy saving machine.

FEATURES: Rotor with truss head involute profile, advanced and reasonable, with high efficiency.

Main parts are machined by machining centres and NC facilities, resulting in complete interchangeability, high accuracy & reliable product.

Forced lubrication for gears and bearings. The oil pump is driven by the blower shaft, so no need for extra power. Also, we can use separate electrical power to drive the oil pump.

All models work in direct drive mode.

Available seals: Labyrinth seal, piston ring seal &air extracting seal.

Delivery medium: Air, semi water, gas.

VEREST, leading manufacturer of Roots Blowers in India, introduces the all Enew Tri-Lobe Roots Blowers. Tri-lobe technology means blowers have lobe tips exposed to 120 degrees around the rotor instead of 180 degrees as in a bi-

lobe blower. This provides a stiffer rotor set, meaning less deflection at any load. These blowers have been designed keeping the specific demands of the industry of continuous duty operation, sturdy design, reduced noise, reduced pulsations and vibrations, longer bearing life and minimal maintenance in mind. Everest Blowers are produced on the latest state-of-art CNC machines from Haas (USA), Mazak (Japan ) and HMT (India), thereby ensuring a quality product. These blowers are designed for continuous duty service. Complete package units are shipped with all essential accessories and electric motor, ready to install, on plug and play concept. Everest Tri-Lobe blowers are supplied with built-in safety & monitoring equipment such as safety relief valve and Pressure/V acuum gauge.

WORKING PRINCIPLE

Everest Tri-Lobe Rotary Compressors/Blowers are positive displacement units, whose pumping capacity is determined by size, operating speed and pressure conditions. It employs two Tri-Lobe impellers mounted on parallel shafts, rotating in opposite direction within a casing closed at the ends by side plates. As the impellers rotate, air is drawn into one side of the casing and forced out of the opposite side against the existing pressures. The differential pressure developed, therefore, depends upon the resistance of the connected system. The Blowers, being positive displacement type, do not develop pressure within the casing but the discharge pressure depends upon the system resistance/back pressure. Effective sealing of the compressor inlet area from the discharge area is accomplished by use of very small operational clearance, eliminating the need of any internal lubrication of the lobes. A pair of accurately machined alloy steel, hardened and ground timing gears maintain clearances between the impellers, during rotation. The air, thus delivered, is 100% OIL FREE. The pumping capacity of a lobe compressor, operating at constant speed remains relatively independent of inlet and discharge pressure variations. These Blowers are constant volume machines, which deliver a fixed discharge against the system back pressure. It is, therefore, essential to ensure that minimum pipeline restrictions, at the inlet and discharge, are imposed. • Right angle flow orientation with suction top, resulting in smaller foot print

consumption. Sudden change in pipeline cross section should also be avoided. To change capacity, it is necessary either to change speed (energy saving) or vent some of the air into atmosphere (not energy saving). The air must not be re-circulated from the discharge to suction as it may result in overheating. No attempt should ever be made to control the capacity of compressor by means of throttle valves in the intake or discharge piping. This increases the power load on the motor and may seriously damage the compressor. There is an increase in the discharge air temperature due to heat of compression. As a thumb rule the discharge air temperature increases @

0 2 10 C for every 0.1 Kg/cm of P above the inlet temperature.

VEREST, leading manufacturer of Roots Blowers introduces acoustic Eenclosures for blowers. Everest acoustic enclosures are one of the most effective means for containment of excessive noise and for the insulation of

the workers from the noise. Even where silencers are used, they can only treat the air borne noise. The treatment of the mechanical noise from the blower, motor, etc. is beyond the scope of silencers. Thus, in order to achieve low noise levels, that are often statutory requirements, Noise Enclosures / Acoustic Hoods are required.

Everest sound reduction enclosures have been designed for effective noise reduction of blowers placed inside. Everest's economical design provides noise reduction of 12-25 dB(A) bringing down the total noise emitted to safe acceptable limits.

• Construction The robust body work of sound reduction enclosures is due to its construction from preformed

heavy gauge sheet steel section and its reinforcement with fabricated superstructure. Rubber gaskets are provided

to all doors and external joints to resist weathering. The bolted superstructure provides easy removal of panels for

maintenance or servicing of blowers.

• Air Circulation Sufficient cooling air inlet acoustic louvers and exhaust fans are provided in the enclosure for

efficient air circulation avoiding derating of the machine.

• Installation The sound reduction enclosures are preassembled on a support frame and can be easily & quickly

assembled at site.
