Increase the pressure – This is a function of humanistic leadership – creating a shared vision, a sense of urgency etc. Increase the suction – This may be enhanced by systems that encourage faster innovation (e.g. innovation awards, intrapreneurship grants, partnership approaches etc.) Improve the flow – By lowering the viscosity of the contents or widening the pipeline etc. This is a function of a culture and climate that supports innovation e.g. Virgin
