The biggest class in the Leading Edge Genetics On-Farm Competition for 2014 was the 4 year old and over class. Someamazing cows were desperately unlucky not to feature in the Top 10 placegetters. The winner of this year four year oldand over class was the entry of Robert, Lynette and Justin Johnston of Sale. Sired by the increasingly inuential sire inPlanet, their entry 4142 was a superbly balanced 3rd calf cow featuring outstanding teat placement with an udder wellattached above her hock.In 2nd place was the Jersey entry 1735 sired by AltaBW from the ne herd of cows of Warren Lace’s at Yarram.

The group class this year saw 37 different farm entries. Quality, together withuniformity of the group was what the judge Mr.Weller was looking for. It was thisconsistency that saw Robert, Lynette and Justin Johnston of Sale take out rst prize withtheir beautiful uddered daughters of the World Wide Sires bull in Planet.

The 2nd placed award went to a group of 2 year old heifers by the well known Jerseysire in Van Ahlem owned by Paul and Lisa Mumford from Won Wron.
