Leadership Training: On Saturday, March 7, there is a naonal leadership training being held in Johnson City concerning Sunday School and small group ministry. I want to encourage you to come and be a part of this training as we seek to make our Sun- day School small groups beer. It will be held from 8:30am- 3:30pm, and you will be inundated with materials and praccal tools that we will be able to ulize in the small group seng. We need to connect more of our people to these life groups (Sunday School classes) so that we have more people journeying with us in faith. So please plan to aend. A sign-up sheet is located outside the sanc- tuary on the bullen board. I look forward to having you along for the journey. Deacon Ministry: In our January business conference a moon was made to explore the possibility of allowing divorcees to serve as deacons. As I have given thought to this moon, I believe it is in the best interest of our church to explore it as a church body rather than by simply having an appointed commiee bring the recommendaon. I have begun acquiring materials for study concerning this topic and will be leading our church in several sessions of discussion and Bible study as we approach this issue from a biblical perspecve. As we move forward and begin this process of discussion I covet your prayers for our discussion and our church body. I simply ask that you prayerfully consider the following: 1. In our discussions, we will commit to maintain an open mind, Christ-like spirit and a willingness to grow in this process 2. Recognizing that there are differences of opinion, we must seek unity in our body as we seek to fulfill God’s call on His church. 3. We will pray for the pastor, the study of God’s Word, and the discussions that we have that they may be an instrument of God’s grace, and a teach- able moment for all of us. I look forward to our discussions. May we sharpen each other as we seek His will in His church for His glory! March 2015 “Glorifying God, serving the Lord Jesus Christ, and sharing Him with the world.” Funds are now being accepted to purchase a second new van. Our goal is to raise $28,200 by late April so we’ll have it for the summer.
